    Notes:

    Vito Nicholas “Nick” Pera, 89, of Lewiston, NY, passed away peacefully on Friday, May 8, 2020, surrounded by his beloved family at his residence. Born in Niagara Falls, NY, he was the son of the late Enicandro and Anna (Quaranta) Pera.
    Nick was raised in Niagara Falls and a graduate of Niagara Falls High School. On January 27, 1951, he married Lois Vivian (Beemer) Pera at St. Joseph Church. Mrs. Pera predeceased him on April 5, 2016 after 65 memorable years together. 
    Nick served during the Korean War in the United States Army and was stationed in Hawaii from 1955 until his honorable discharge in 1957. He continued to serve in the United States Army Reserves as a First Sergeant for 32 years prior to his honorable discharge in 1990. 
    Nick had a strong work ethic and was employed for over 30 years by E.I. DuPont Company as a millwright, and later retired as a skilled craftsman. He loved to garden and took great pride in maintaining his beautiful residence. Above all, he was a devoted family man who always made sure his family was truly cared for. Mr. Pera will be deeply missed by the many hearts he touched.
    Mr. Pera is survived by his children, Deborah Leilani (Jeffrey Dudzinski) Pera, Susan (Ed Shaw) Watson, Nicholas Pera and Kevin Pera; grandchildren, Nicole (Andy) Van Dusen, Robert Sweitzer, Holly Beth Sweitzer-Allein, John V. (Megan) Kowalski, Douglas Ryan Watson and Kaelie Just; great-grandchildren, Lauren, Madelyn, Joseph, Niko, Jade, Evalynn and Genevieve; his siblings Donald (Dorothy) Pera, Virginia Pera, Andrew (late Jan) Pera and Louise Pera; as well as many nieces and nephews.
    Due to recent circumstances, funeral services and entombment in Gate of Heaven Cemetery will be held privately for the family.     Lois Vivian (Beemer) Pera of Lewiston, NY passed away on Tuesday April 5, 2016 at Mt. St. Mary’s Hospital. Born in Niagara Falls, NY she was the daughter of the late Elmer and Violet (Smith) Beemer.

    Lois was a lifelong resident and attended local schools. On January 27, 1951, she married Vito Nicholas Pera at St. Joseph’s Church in Niagara Falls. Lois was employed as a teacher’s aid for the Niagara Falls Board of Education and worked at Hyde Park, Gaskill and South Junior Schools. Lois also worked at the former Rainbow Center Mall for many years.

    Lois was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She loved being a homemaker, spending time outdoors during the summer in her yard by her pool and tending to her garden. She was a fabulous cook, baker and avid reader. Lois also enjoyed traveling to Las Vegas to visit her children.

    In addition to her beloved husband of 65 years, she is survived by her four children, Deborah Leilani (Jeffrey Dudzinski) Pera of Williamsville, Susan (Ed Shaw) Watson, Nicholas Pera and Kevin Pera all of Las Vegas, NV, six grandchildren, Nicole (Andy) VanDusen, Robert (Anjanette) Sweitzer, Holly Beth (Jesse) Allein, John V. (Megan) Kowalski, Douglas Ryan Watson and Kaelie, six great-grandchildren, Lauren, Madelyn, Joseph, Niko, Jade, Evalynn, and several nieces and nephews. She was also predeceased by a sister June (late Wilfred) Strassburg and brother, Howard Beemer.

    Visitation will be held on Thursday from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. at M.J. COLUCCI & SON NIAGARA FUNERAL CHAPEL, 2730 MILITARY ROAD, NIAGARA FALLS, NY. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday April 8th at 10:00 a.m. at Holy Family Parish at St. Joseph’s Church 1413 Pine Ave. Niagara Fall, NY. EVERYONE PLEASE ASSEMBLE AT CHURCH. Entombment will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
