    The marriage of Mrs. Lillian B.
    Miles of Southern Pines, N.c., and
    the Rev. C. Rexford Raymond,
    D.D., of Charleston, S.C., was solemnized
    in the Church of Wide
    Fellowship, Southern Pines, Sept.
    28 with the Rev. Orville Donley UI-
    lom of Haverhill, Mass.. son-in-law
    of the bridegroom officiating.
    The bride, daughter of the late
    Mr. and Mrs. Clinton Brown of Buffalo,
    formerly lived on the H e ss
    Road, East Burt, and was organist
    at the Hess Road Wesleyan Methodist
    Church. She is a cousin of
    Elmer Stratton of Burt and has one
    brother, Charles Brown of Barker,
    and one son. Van Miles of Sanborn.
    She wore a street-length aqua
    sheer crepe dress highlighted by
    insets of matching Chantilly lace
    with aqua feather bandeau, silver
    slippers and triple strand of pearls.
    She carried a white satin prayer
    book covered with an orchid tied
    with satin streamers.
    Mrs. Anna Patch Blue, matron of
    honor, favored a gray satin ensemble
    with the bridesmaid, Miss Ruth
    Raymond of Frederick, Md., daughter
    of the groom, selecting an Iridescent
    taffeta gown in steel blue
    and midnight shades. P. P. Pelton
    attended the bridegroom as b e st
    man with Charles Pioquet, J. D.
    Sitterson, L. D„ McDonald and R.
    W. Tate ushering.

    couple left to make their home ha
    Charleston. Dr. Raymond, son of
