Mrs. August Schulta of 149 Keil
street received a telegram yesterday
from Cleveland, announcing the death
of her sister, Mrs. August Roepke, la
former resident of the Tonawandas.
Mrs. Roepke was a sister of Mrs.
Christ Merton of Sanborn, William
Behnke of North Tonawanda and
Christ Behnke of Erie, Pa. The funeral
will be held tomorrow.

William L. Behnke, 68 years
old, died Saturday afternoon at
the home of his daughter, Mrs.
Henry Zeppendorf, 1334 Belling
place. He came to America from
Germany in his early boyhood
and had resided in North Tonawanda
since. He leaves two daughters,
Mrs. Zeppendorf and Mrs.
Frances Dexheimer; a son, .Alvin,
North Tonawanda; Ave grandchildren;
a brother, Christ J., Erie, Pa.
and a sister, Mrs. Minnie Schultz,
North Tonawanda. Rites will be
held tomorrow afternoon at 2 o'clock
from the Zeppendorf home
and at 2:30 o'clock from the St.
Paul's Lutheran church. Rev. F.
A. Hinners officiating. Interment
will be in St. Paul's cemetery
