She lived in the Twin Cities for many years before moving to Clarence, NY. She retired from Sierra Research where she was the Manager of Employee Benefits. A member of St. Matthew Lutheran Church and Ladies Guild, she was 50-year member, past President and past Club Woman of the Year of the Business and Professional Women's Club of the Tonawandas. Member and past President of the Erie Niagara Sunrise Exchange Club. Devoted grandmother, great-grandmother, Bill's fan and avid golfer. Loving wife of Harry S. Baxter, who passed away in 1992. Beloved mother of Deborah S. (John) Kwarciany of North Tonawanda, NY, Christine S. Bernhardt of Warsaw, NY and Norman F. (Eileen) Dauphin of North Tonawanda, NY. Stepmother of Larry S.     One of the most beautiful weddings

    of the season was solemnized
    on Saturday, July 9, at Salem
    Evangelical and Reformed Church
    when Miss Marilyn Sue Behrens,
    daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Carl
    R. Behrens, 260 Fletcher St., became
    the bride of Norman R. Dauphin.
    The Rev. Walter F. Hetzel
    officiated at a double-ring ceremony
    before an altar banked with
    white flowers, palms and candlebra.
    Mrs. Evelyn Cary Miller played
    traditional wedding music and accompanied
    the soloist, Theron
    Miller, who sang "Because" before
    the ceremony, and "Oh, Promise
    Me" and "The Lord's Prayer" during
    the ceremony.
    The bride, given in marriage
    by her father, wore a gown of
    lustrous satin, made with an illusion
    neckline, trimmed with lace
    and seed pearls, a fitted bodice
    and long-pointed sleeves. The
    bouffant skirt had side panels of
    lace-edged satin ruffles and ended
    in a court-length train trimmed
    in lace. Her fingertip veil of
    French illusion was caught with
    a tiara of orange blossoms. She
    carried a bouquet of white roses
    centered with a detachable corsage
    of pink sweetheart roses and
    stephanatis.
    The maid-of-honor, Miss Shirley
    Schmidt wore an orchid colonial-
    style gown with an illusion
    neckline, and a gathered lace bertha.
    The skirt of marquisette was
    raised in a peek-a-boo effect,
    showing rows of lace on the petticoat.
    She wore a large picture
    hat to match the gown. She carried
    talisman roses and yellow
    gladioli tied with yellow satin
    ribbon, in an arm bouquet.
    The bridesmaids, Miss Maurine
    Bruss, and Miss Donna Bruss,
    cousins of the bride, and Miss
    Beatrice Wenske wore yellow
    gowns like that of the maid-ofhonor.
    They wore picture hats to
    match their gowns. They carried
    arm bouquets of yellow roses and
    orchid gladioli tied with orchid ,
    satin ribbon. All of the attendants
    wore strands of pearls, gifts of
    the bride.
    Charles Metcalf attended his
    cousin as best man. The ushers
    were Morton Dauphin, brother of
    the groom, Robert Metcalf, cousin
    of the groom and Franklin Wenske.
    The bride's mother wore a navy
    blue dress with white accessories.
    She wore a corsage of white gardenias.
    The bride's grandmother,
    Mrs, Minnie Behrens, wore a beige
    summer print. She wore a corsage
    of a white gaidenia and feathered
    carnations. The ' bridegroom's
    mother, Mrs. Irene Dauphin, wore
    a navy blue print drees wMh white

    sided at the puncn bowls. In the
    evening a reception was held in
    the home of the bride.
    For going away, the bride wore
    a white embroidered organdy dress
    with a white picture hat trimmed
    with pink roses. Her accessories
    were white and she wore a corsage
    of pink sweetheart rosea.
    After a wedding trip to Northern
    Canada, Mr. and Mrs. Dauphin will
    be at home at 260 Fletcher St
    Prenuptial parties were given by
    Miss Beatrice Wenske, Miss Shirley
    Schmidt, Misses Donna and
    Maruine Bruss, Mrs. Irene Dauphin,
    Mrs. Robert Metcalf, Salem
    Evangelical and Reformed Church
    School Primary Teachers, and the
    Business and Industrial Girts of
    the YWCA.

    DAUPHIN - Irene A. (nee Berndt)
    Dauphin, 74, of North Tonawanda,
    Saturday (November M, 1PM) at
    DeGraff Memorial Hospital. A lifelong
    resident of the Tonawandas,
    she was the sisiter of the late
    Clarence and Ernest Berndt and
    Mrs. Atlas Metcalf. Mrs. Dauphin
    had formerly been employed at
    DeGraff Memorial Hospital and was
    a member of Salem United Church
    of Christ.
    She is survived by two sons,
    Norman (Stella) Dauphin of North
    Tonawanda and Morton (Theresa)
    Dauphin of Tonawanda; a sisterin-
    law, Selma Berndt of Amherst;
    seven grandchildren, six greatgrandchildren
    and several nieces
    and nephews.
    Friends may call Monday evening
    from 7 to 9 and Tuesday 2 to 4 and 7
    to 9 p.m. at John O. Roth Funeral
    Home, Inc., Morgan and William
    Sts., Tonawanda where services will
    be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday
    by the Rev. Richard H. Trump.
    Burial will be in City Cemetery. If
    desired, memorial contributions
    may be made to the Lions Club of the
    Tonawandas

    A pretty quiet wedding was solemnized
    on Tuesday morning at
    eleven thirty o'clock in the St.
    Francis church rectory, when Miss
    Irene Agnes Berndt, daughter of
    Mr. Ernest Berndt of 20 Young
    Htreet, became the bride of Peter
    C. Dauphin of 32 Grove street.
    the Rev. E A. Loftus officiating.
    The bride wore an attractive
    gown of flowered chiffon, with a
    hat of black straw with a wrhite
    trimming. Mrs. Robert Metcalf,
    sister of the bride, was matron
    of honor, her costume being similar
    to t h a t worn by t h e bride. Mr.
    Robert Metcalf attended Mr. Dauphin
    as best man.
    Mr. and Mrs. Dauphin will make
