    Hospital. Besides his parents he
    is survived by one sister and one
    brother, Sharon Ann and Michael
    Belfield Prayer services were
    held at Taylor & Reynolds Funeral
    Home at 11 30 o'clock on Saturday
    morning, the Rev Noel N.
    Schreck officiating. Interment was
    in St. Mary's cemetery

    Louis C. Belfield, Jr., 90 of Phoenix, NY formerly of Middleport, NY, passed away on July 28. Louis was born in Lockport, NY, May 18, 1928 to Louis and Gertrude (Hogenmiller) Belfield, Sr. 
    Louis was a Navy veteran of WWII, a union carpenter, as well as a steamfitter. He was combat injured at the Battle of Okinawa, having entered the Navy at age 16. He was previously in the Merchant Marine at the age of 15. His lifelong admiration of his country and fellow veterans and incredible courage throughout his life was an inspiration to his family and friends. Louis was also a past communicant of St. Stephen's Catholic Church in Middleport where he had served as a trustee. His family was a great source of happiness. 
    Mr. Belfield was predeceased by his wife of 63 years, Shirley (Wilson); a daughter, Sharon (Porretta); a sister, Regina (Dreher); and a brother, Phillip. 
    He is survived by his son, Michael (Judith) Belfield of Phoenix, NY; brothers, Kenneth Belfield of Gasport, David Belfield of Lockport, and Robert Belfield of Jacksonville, FL. He is also survived by grandsons, Steven of Canton, GA, Jeremy of Mexico, NY, and Andrew Porretta of Cheektowaga, NY; and brother-in-law, Frederick Tremblay of Chapel Hill, NC. Louis is also survived by five great-grandchildren, Alison (Janders), Noah, Stella, and twins, Emma and Lillian. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews. 
    The family will receive friends at the Bates, Wallace & Heath Funeral Home, 38 State Street, Middleport, Friday, August 10 from 3-6 PM where his Funeral Service will be held following visitation at 6 PM. Interment will be at the convenience of the family with Military Honors at Royalton Mountain Ridge Cemetery.

    Louis Belfield Sr., 59, of 7790
    Chestnut Ridge Road, Gasport,
    a bridge operator on the Erie
    Barge Canal, died unexpectedly
    Sunday (Nov. 20, 1968) at Me-
    dina Memorial Hospital.
    He was born Jan. 8, 1907 in
    Brooklyn, the son of Louis and
    Lulu White Belfield. He had liv-
    ed at the present address for
    the past 12 years.
    For the past 10 years, Mr.
    Belfield had been employed as
    a bridge operator by the New
    York State Department of Pub-
    lic Works, Canal Division. He
    was assigned to the Middleport
    lift bridge.
    Before that, he worked for 30
    years at Simonds Saw & Steel
    Co., as foreman on the electric
    furnace.
    He was an exampt fireman of
    the Terry's Corners Fire Co.,
    and a member of the New
    York State Employees Council
    50, AFL-CIO.
    He served in the U. S. Army
    in the Philippines in 1925.
    Mr. Belfield has been mar-
    ried for 39 years to the former
    Gertrude Hogenmiller, who sur-
    vives.
    Also surviving are a daugh-
    ter, Mrs. Raymond Dreher of
    Lockport; five sons, Louis Vel-
    field Jr., of Middleport, Philip
    Belfield of Wilson, Kenneth Bel-
    field of Gasport, Robert Bel-
    field of Lockport and David
    Belfield at home; also 14 grand-
    children.
    Friends may call from 2 to 4
    and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Gaul Fu-
    neral Home, 263 East Ave.,
    where funeral services will be
    held Wednesday at 8:30 a.m.
    and at 9 at St. Mary's Church.
    The Rosary will be recited at
    8 p.m. tomorrow.

    Wearing an off-the-shoulder white marquisette gown
    fashioned with puffed sleeves, an illusion necnkline with lace in-
    sets and a hoop skirt ending in a train, Miss Regina g. Belfield,
    daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Louis Belfield Sr., of 96 Vine St., was
    married at 11 o'clock this morning to Raymond E. Dreher, son
    of Mr. and Mrs. Frederick Dreher Sr., 261 Chestnut St. The bride
    carried a white orchid on a First Communion Prayer Book. Her
    French illusion veil fell from a pearl headdress.
    A single strand of pearls about i

    her throat was the gift of her bride-
    groom. Long white gauntlets cul-
    minated in a point over each wrist.
    Officiating at the St. John's rec-
    tory ceremony was the Rev. Fran-
    cis A. Clancy, D.D., pastor of the
    church. Louis Belfield gave his
    daughter in marriage.
    MAID OF HONOR
    Attending the couple as maid of

    honor was Miss Patricia Murphy
    who was gowned in pink dotted
    swiss with an off-the-shoulder neck
    line. Her hat and gauntlets matched
    her dress and she carried a heartshaped
    colonial bouquet of mixed
    flowers. Lawerance Martin acted as
    best man for Mr. Dreher.
    As gifts to their attendants, the
    bride gave a gold compact to Miss
    Murphy, the bridegroom a gold key
    chain to Mr. Martin.
    The bride's mother wore a sheer
    floral print drees with white accessories
    and a corsage of white roses.
    Mrs. Dreher chose a white Bemberg,
    white accessories and a corsage
    of yellow roses.
    A wedding breakfast was served
    to 21 guests at the Park Hotel
    where the table was centered with
    a bride's. cake. A reception for 250
    followed at the bridegroom's home
    which was decorated with garden
    flowers. Guests attended from Jennette
    and Elwood, Pa., and Buffalo.
    TRIP TO MOUNTAINS
    For a Journey to the Adlrondacks
    the bride selected a two-tone cocoa brown

    and beige suit with white accessories.
    She wore a white orchid
    as a going-away corsage.
    Upon their return, Mr. and Mrs.
    Dreher will be at home at 32 Franklin
    Ave. Borth are graduates of
    Lockport Senior High School. Mr
    Dreher served as a private first
    class in the U S Marine Corps
    for a year during World War II.

    LOCKPORT - Gerald J. Tremblay, 63, of 180 Corinthia
    St., died unexpectedly Friday (Sept. 20, 1968)
    at Lockport Memorial Hospital after a short illness.
    He was born in 1905 at Berlin,
    N. H., the son of Pierre and
    Helene Savar Trembfay. He had
    lived in Lockport since 1926,
    and had been employed by the
    United Paperboard and Carton
    Corp. here for 42. years. He had
    served as secretary-treasurer of
    the AFL-CIO Paper m a k e r s
    Union.
    He is survived by his wife,
    Anne Fuller Tremblay, a daughter,
    Mrs. Louis Belfield Jr. of
    Middleport; a son, Frederick G.
    Tremblay of. Westland, Mich.;
    three grandchildren; a brother,
    Rolland A. Tremblay of Lockport,
    and several nieces and
    nephews.
    Friends may call at the Taylor
    and Reynolds Funeral Home
    where the Rosary will be recited
    at 8 p.m. Sunday. Funeral
    services will be held at the funeral
    home at. 9 a.m. Monday.
    Burial will be in Cold Spring
    Cemetery.
    Memorials may be made to
    the Heart Fund, the family said.
