    Eleanor Louise Belknap
    Babcock, 66, of St. Augustine,
    Fla. and Skaneateles Lake,
    died Feb. 26,2006 after a seven
    year battle with ovarian cancer.
    She was born in
    Skaneateles and was a graduate
    of the Skaneateles School
    System and Syracuse University
    College of Fine Arts.
    Eleanor married and moved
    to Nashville, Tenn. in 1960. She
    retired as a secretary and treasurer
    of Babcock and Williams
    and Royal Elm Properties.
    Eleanor, beginning in 1992,
    lived part time in St. Augustine
    to be closer to her grandchildren.
    She was an active gardener,
    boater, and wonderful grandmother
    who loved to travel the
    world.
    She was a member of the
    Hermitage Rachel Jackson
    Garden Club, Las Adelfas Garden
    Club of St. Augustine, Antique
    and Classic Boat Society,
    Antique Boat Museum, and
    Donelson Presbyterian
    Church where she was an El-
    der.
    She is survived by her husband,
    Donald E. Babcock; son,
    Brook K. Babcock (Kit); granddaughter,
    Hannah of Nashville,
    Tenn.; daughter, Tina Miles
    (Charlie); grandchildren, Gene
    and Jennifer of St. Augustine;
    sister, Kay Rice (Gene) of
    Marcellus; one niece and four
    nephews.
    She was preceded in death
    by her parents, Evelyn and
    Roscoe Belknap, and brother,
    Jimmy Belknap.
    A memorial service was held
    at Donelson Presbyterian
    Church.
    In lieu of flowers, donations
    may be made to Suncoast Sea
    Bird Sanctuary, 18328 Gulf
    Blvd., Indian Shores, FL 33785
    or the Northeast Florida Community
    Hospice, 525 SR 16,

    the bride, was matron of honor.
    Miss Julie-Ann Clark was maid
    of honor.
    Lawrence C. Mitchell, Jr., was
    best man. Ushers were James R.
    Belknap, brother of the bride.
    Thomas C. Shepard, William Sanford,
    and Charles Ritchie. Stephen
    Robinson, brother of the bridegroom,
    was ring bearer.
    A reception was held at Springside
    Inn, Auburn, after which the
    couple left for a. Lake Placid
    honeymoon.
    Mrs. Babcock is a senior at Syracuse
    University. Mr. Babcock is a
    graduate of the University of the
    State of New York at Morrisville.

    side at 143 Thurlow Dr., Syracuse

    He was a retired foreman
    for Stauffer Chemical
    Company in Skaneateles.
    He is survived by: his

    the Robert d. Gray Funeral

    home for several years.
    Born in the town of Conquest,

    she had lived in this section nearly
    30 years. In 1921 she moved here
    , from Savannah.
    She is survived by four daughters,
    Mrs. Morris Burghduff of
    Savannah, Mrs. Mylisa Dreythaler
    of Auburn, Mrs. Herbert Coggen
    of RD, Skaneateles. and Mrs.
    O'Brien; six sons, Emmett Belknap,
    Syracuse. Roland Belknap,
    Cayuga, Keith Belknap. RD, Skaneateles,
    Dorsell Belknap, Auburn,
    Roscoe Belknap, RD, Skaneateles,
    and Paul Belknap. RD, Skaneateles;
    eight grandsons, 13 granddaughters,
    11 great-grandchildren,
    an one brother, Clarence Cartner

    Services will be held at 1 p. m.
    Tuesday at the residence of her
    daughter. Mrs. John O'Brien. The
    Rev. Stanley P. Jones, pastor of
    Owasco Reformed Church, will officiate.
    Burial will be in Spring
    Lake Cemetery, Conquest.

    Mrs. John O'Brien Monday afternoon

    cuse Railway until it was shut
