    Lewis T. Bell died at his home on
    the South Transit road Wednesday
    morning, December 3, 1919.
    He Is survived by his wife, three
    children, Robert H., Walter L., and
    Lucy Rachel all at home, his parents,
    Mr. and Mrs. W. H. Bell of this city
    two brothers, William C. Bell in Africa,
    and Jesse M. Bell of this city.
    Funeral services will be held from
    the home Friday afternoon, December
    6th at 2.30 o'clock. Interment in Cold
    Springs Cemetery.

    A lifelong resident of the Town
    of Lockport, Mrs. Elizabeth H.
    Bell Fraser of 5858 S. Transit
    Road, died Thursday (Oct 31,
    1963) at Mount View Hospital
    following a long illness.
    Mrs. Fraser had celebrated
    her 89th birthday Thursday. She
    was born in Lockport Township
    on Oct. 28, 1874, the daughter of
    James V. Person and Rachel
    Strang Pierson.
    She attended Cobblestone District
    12 schoolhouse and later
    taught there for two years before
    her marriage to Lewis T.
    Bell on May 12, 1898. Mr. Bell
    died in December, 1919.
    On June 2, 1934 she married
    Char'es Fraser who died in August
    1938.
    Mrs. Fraser was a member
    of the South Lockport Volunteer
    Fire Co. Auxiliary and served
    as auditor of the organization for
    several terms.
    For many years she was
    school tax collector for the Town
    of Lockport.
    She also taught Sunday School
    at the First English Lutheran
    Church of Lockport of which
    she was a member for 45 years.
    She belonged to Lockport Rebekah
    Lodge 290.
    Surviving are one daughter,
    Mrs. James A. Leonard, Town
    of Lockport; two sons, Robert
    H. Bell, Town of Pendleton and
    Walter L. Bell. Clarence Center,
    one granddaugher, Mrs. Donald
    Confer, Town of Lockport; two
    great - grandchildren and several
    nieces and nephews. A'so,
    three step children Mrs. Earl
    Belair of Washington, D. C,
    Mrs. James Wilson and Elton
    Fraser. both of Newfane.
    Friends may call at their convenience
    at the Lange Funeral
    Home, 186 East Ave., where the
    Rev. Ivan L. Lange pastor
    emeritus of the First English Lutheran
    Church, will officiate at
    a funeral service at 2:30 p.m.
    Sunday. The family will be present
    at the funeral home from 2
    to 4:30 and 7 to 9:30 p.m. Burial
    will be in Co'd Spring Cemetery

    Mrs. Lucy M. Bell, widow of William
    H. Bell, active for years in
    the First Baptist church, died last
    night at her home, 129 Pine street,
    after a brief illness. Funeral servlces
    will be held Wednesday afternoon
    at 8:30 o'clock at the home
    with burial in Cold Springs cemetery.
    Daughter of the late Merrit B,
    and Elvira M. Lewis, Mrs. Bell was
    born at North Java, Wyoming
    county. In 1854, the family moved
    to Niagara county and settled
    on a farm about two and one-half
    mlies south of the city, on the
    Robison road. Later they moved
    to a place on the Transit road.
    Mrs. Bell attended the Old Union
    School under the princlpalshlp of
    Asher B. Evans. On September
    21, 1869, she was married to William
    H. Bell, and resided on the
    Bell farm south of the city on the
    Transit road, until 1905, when they
    moved to 129 Pine street, where
    Mr Bell died in 1924. Three sons
    were born to them, Lewis T., deceased;
    Rev. William C. of Africa,
    now of Auburndale, Mass., and
    Jesse M. Bell of this city.
    Mrs. Bell was an active member
    of the First Baptist church, being
    identified with its various societies
    for many years, serving as president
    of the Ladies' Aid for several
    terms. She was also a deaconess
    and a member of Judson Class.
    She was a member of the Buffalo
    Chapter D. A. R., being a direct descendent
    of Eleazer Lewis.
    While Mrs. Bell took little part
    in club activities, she was always
    interested in the welfare of Lockport.
    Several weeKs ago, she contracted
    a cold which at first seemed
    to yield to treatment, but com-
    plications set in proving fatal.
    Surviving, besides her two sons,
    are seven grandchildren, one great
    granddaughter and several nephews
    and nieces.
