    Mrs-. Charles Bailey Proudfoot, who before her marriage on Friday
    was Miss Mary Ruth Brookhouser, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Guy
    W. Brookhouser, of this city. The bridegroom Is the son of Mrs.
    Charles S. Proudfoot and thte late Mr. Charles S. Proudfoot, of this
    city. The ceremony was performed In St. Ambrose chapel, with the
    Rev. Philip W. Mosher, DD., officiating. Mr; and Mrs. Proudfoot
    will make their home In Milwaukee, Wis.

    St. Ambrose chapel, of De Veaux
    school, In soft candlelight, was the
    impressive setting yesterday afternoon
    for the wedding ceremony of
    Miss Mary Ruth Brookhouser and
    Mr. Charles B. Proudfoot, of Milwaukee.
    Wis., the Rev. Philip W.
    Mosher. D. D„ officiating. The music
    played by Mrs. Harry Banks at the
    organ provided an added touch to
    the wedding.
    The bride, the daughter of Mr.
    and Mrs. Guy W. Brookhouser, of
    Fourth street, was lovely in her
    wedding gown of ivory satin fashioned
    on Greecian lines, the bodice
    with dainty pearl bead trim and
    long sleeves. Her fingertip silk illu-
    sion veil fell from a Juliet cap. She
    carried a cascade bouquet of gar-
    denias.
    Mrs. Harold S Hopkins, of Lew-
    iston, was her matron of honor and
    only attendant. She wore a light
    blue floor-length fown with jacket
    having bands of gold braid as trim.
    Her Juliet cap of gold sequins and
    her bouquet of pink roses completed
    her becoming costume.
    Mr. Robert Rowe, of Gray Gables,
    Lewiston Heights, was the best man.
    Immediately after the ceremoy
    at 4:30 o'clock, the members of the
    immediate families and the wedding
    arty met at the Red Coach Inn for
    dinner and later in the evening a
    reception was held at the Red
    Coach Inn. The mother of the bride
    wore a gown of black, a golf metal
    thread interwoven in the material
    for the fitted bodice. The moter of
    te bridegroom, Mrs. C. F. Proud-
    foot, of this city,, wore a becoming
    gown o soldier blue with lace bod-
    ice. Both mothers wore corsages of
    gardenias.
    Mr. and Mrs. Proudfoot left later
    in the evening for Milwaukee, Wis,
    where they will make their future
    home. The bride traveled in a frock
    of champagne and brown with
    matching fur coat.
    Mr. and Mrs. G. P. Proudfoot, of
    Milwaukee Wis., and Mr. and Mrs..
    Alvin Proudfoot and daughters of
    Buffalo, were among the out-of-
    town guests attending the wedding.
    The bridegroom is the son fo Mrs..
    Charles F.. Proudfoot and the late
    Charles F. Proudfoot, of this city.

    Mrs. Jean Bellew Brookhouser, of
    434 Fourth street, wife, of Guy W,
    Brookhouser. armorer at the state
    armory here died; last night In Me
    morial hospital, where she had been
    a patient for two days,. She had
    been ill four weeks, suffering from
    a heart condition.
    Born in Mumford, N. Y. Mrs.
    Brookhouser' had resided here 43
    years.: Besides'.ber husband, she is
    survived by . a daughter, Mrs.
    Charles B. Proudfoot, of Oak Ridge,
    Tenn.; four.brothers, Paul O. Bellew,
    or this city; Allen E.-Bellew, of
    Aberdeen Wash. John. K. Bellew.
    of Chicago, Ill, and James F Bel-
    lew, of Detroit, Mich.; two sisters,
    Mrs. Lew Dean, of Boston, Mass.,
    and Mrs. W. B. Schun, of Miami,
    Fla., and one grandchild.
    The funeral will be held from the
    family home at 8:30 a.m. Saturday
    with services at St. Mary's church
    at 9 a.m. and interment in Gate of
    Heaven cemetery.

    Mrs. Mary Lowry Bellew
    old. of Seventh street, died this morning
    in the Mount Saint Mary's hospital
    following a long illness. She
    was born in Ayreshlre. Scotland, but
    had lived in this city for many years.
    She leaves a husband. S. P. Bellew.
    six sons and three daughters, among
    whom are John K. of Buffalo, and
    Samuel P. Bellew and Mrs. Lew Dean
    of La Salle. Funeral arrangements
    have not been oompleted.
