    LEAVER - John F. Leaver Sr.,
    59, of 94 Oxford Ave., Buffalo, un-
    expectedly yesterday (Aug. 29,
    1955) in Buffalo General Hospital
    after a heart attack. Born in Au-
    burn, Mr. Leaver had been a resi-
    dent of Buffalo the greater part of
    his life and was employed for the
    last 16 years at the Chevrolet plant
    in Buffalo. He is survived by a son,
    John F. Leaver, Jr., and five
    grandsons, all of North Tonawan-
    da and a brother, George, of Sloan,
    N.Y. Friends may call at the
    Hamp Funeral Home, 37 Adam St.,
    from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. where the
    family will be in attendance from
    2 to 5 p.m. and from 7 to 9 p.m.
    Services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday
    with the Rev. Arthur Hornish of-
    ficiating. Burial will be in Forest
    Lawn Cemetery, Buffalo.

    services for Henry C. Belling,
    81, of 74 Creekside Drive,
    Town of Tonawanda, a former
    resident of North Tonawanda,
    will be conducted at 2 p.m.
    Sunday at St. Martin
    Lutheran Church. The Rev.
    Lulher L. Knauff will officiate.
    Burial will be in White
    Chapel Memorial Park.
    Mr. Belling died Thursday
    (April 15, 1971) in Kenmore
    Mercy Hospital after a brief
    illness.
    He had lived In the Town
    of Tonawanda for the last 37
    years and was a former
    superintendent for many
    years of While Chapel
    Memorial Park. He was a
    member of St. M a r t in
    Lutheran Church.
    He is survived by his wife,
    the former Auguste Ewald;
    five sons, Hugo, W a l t e r,
    Edgar, and Earl Belling of
    the Tonawanda^ and Leonard
    Belling of Buffalo; six
    daughters, Mrs. Lauren
    DeGlopper of Dallas, Tex.,

    Tonawanda, will c e l e b r a te t h e i r 50th wedding anniver-
    s a r y Sunday with an open house from 2 t o 5 p.m. in
    t h e i r home.
    On Aug. 22 a family dinner honoring
    the couple will be given at
    the Ship and Shore Restaurant,
    Pendleton, with 30 guests attend-
    ing.
    Mr. Belling, a North Tonawandan,
    and the former Augustei
    Ewald of Unionville, Mich., were
    married in Michigan and a week
    later arrived to make their home
    in the Tonawandas.
    Mr. Belling, now retired, chose
    carpentry as his life's work. For a
    time he operated his own business
    as a contractor and builder and!
    in later years was employed by
    other area contractors.
    He and Mrs. Belling are mem-
    bers of St. Martin L u t h e r an
    Church, Old Falls Boulevard,
    North Tonawanda.
    The couple had 12 children and
    11 are living. They are Mrs. Lauren
    DeGIopper, Mrs. John Leaver,
    Hugo Belling, Walter Belling
    and Edgar Belling, all of North
    Tonawanda; the Misses E l l en
    and Alice Belling and Earl Belling,
    all of Tonawanda; Mrs. Robert
    Milleville of Niagara Falls;
    Mrs. Robert Wells of Ogdensburg,
    and Leonard Belling of Williamsville.
    They have 32 grandchildren
    and five great - grandchildren.
    A tiered anniversary wedding
    cake trimmed in gold will be the
    centerpiece for the open house.
    Cut flowers will be arranged
    throughout the home for the occasion.
    Mrs. Belling, to greet her
    guests, will wear a teal blue dress
    with white accessories and a yellow
    orchid corsage.
