AMHERST-Walter J. Denef,
64, of 53 Creekside Drive, died
at his' home unexpectedly Monday
(June 3. 1968).
He was bom in Brant, Ont.
and lived in this- area for 25
years. He was a member of St.
Martin Lutheran Church and
had worked at Hall's Bakery
as a salesman.
Surviving are his widow, Mrs.
Gertrude (Belling) Denef; his
mother, Mrs. Elizabeth Denef
of Lutsen, Minn.; two sons,
Lawrence Denef of Minneapolis
and Dana Denef of Freehold,
N.J., and eight ^sisters.
Friends may call at the Brunner
Funeral Home, North
Tonawanda. 2 to 4 p.m. and 7
to 9 p.m. Funeral services will
be held Thursday at 1:30 p.m.
from St. Martin Lutheran
Church. Burial will be in White
Chapel Cemetery

was solemnized Wednesday, June

Frieda Denes. sister of the groom
served as maid of honor, and the
bridesmaids were Miss Olga Denes
and Miss Adelaide Theile. The
groom's attendants were Martin
Denes, brother of the groom, who
served as best man, and Eugene

A reception for one hundred guests
followed the ceremonv. at the
home of Mr. and Mn M C. Ewald.

Old Resident of North Tonawanda Dead
North Tonawanda, March 31 - Charles Belling, 88, died Saturday night at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Adolph Thiele, of the Shawnee Road, Town of Wheatfield. Mr. Belling was born in Sweeney street when this part of the city was part of the Town of Wheatfield and the street was known as the Creek road. He retired as a farmer 20 years ago. He was a member of St. Martin's Lutheran church at Martinsville. He is survived by three sons, John of the Town of Pendleton, George of the Town of Wheatfield, and Charles Belling, Jr. of Tonawanda; four daughters, Mrs. Robert Thiele and Mrs. Louis Sattelberg, of this city; Mrs. Adolph Thiele of the Town of Wheatfield, and Mrs. Walter Denel of the Town of Amherst; 21 grandchildren and ten great grandchildren. He was also the father of the late Mrs. Anna Ewald, of this city Funeral services will be held tomorrow at 2:30 p.m. at the Hamp Funeral home, 37 adam street, with the Rev. Theophilus Berner officiating. Interment will be in St. Martin's cemetery.

Mrs. Augusta Belling, aged 44 years wife of Charles Belling of Martinsville; died suddenly at her home yesterday morning from cholera morbus. Beside a husband eight children survive. Funeral announcement will be made later.
