    Miss Patricia Jeane Deal,
    daughter of Mrs. Vera Deal, of
    Middlesex, and Gordon L. Bellis,
    son of Mr. and Mrs. Claude
    Bellis, of Gorham, were united
    in marriage on Saturday evening,
    September 3, 1949, at the
    home of Mr. and Mrs. Raymond
    Lafler, in Middlesex. Rev. Wendell
    Arnold, pastor of the Middlesex
    Methodist Church, solemnized
    the double-ring cere-
    mony. The house was decorated
    with mixed gladioli, gypsophila,
    fern and candelabra.
    The bride, who was given in
    marriage by her uncle, Maurice
    Lafler, wore^a floor-length gown
    of white tissue faille, with offshoulder
    neckline; her fingertip
    veil of illusion was held by a
    tiara of orange blossoms, and
    she carried a bridal bouquet of
    white gladioli, white snapdragons,
    and gypsophila. Her sister,
    Mrs. Horace Shepard, Jr., of Naples
    was matron of honor; she '

    wore a gown of pale green taffe-
    ta and net, with off-shoulder
    neckline and hoopskirt, trim-
    med with lace, a half-hat of
    daisies, and matching mitts; she
    carried an arm bouquet of pale
    and deep pink gladioli. Horace
    Shepard, Jr., was best man.
    The bride's mother wore a
    street-length dress of yellow
    eyelet embroidery with matching
    hat, white accessories, and a
    corsage of white gardenias. The
    bridegroom's mother wore a
    navy blue and white print
    street-length dress with white
    accessories, and a corsage of
    white gardenias.
    Following the ceremony, a
    small reception was held at
    the Lafler home, for members of
    the immediate families, and
    close friends.
    Mr. and Mrs. Bellis left for a
    short wedd,ing trip. The bride's
    going-away outfit was a gray
    sharkskin dress with black accessories,
    and a corsage of red
    roses and white pompons. They
    will reside in Rushville, where
    they are employed.
    Guests were present at the
    wedding from Rochester, Penn
    Yan, Gorham, and Naples.
