    NIAGARA FALLS — Henry J. Lojek entered into rest Wednesday, January 2, 2013, surrounded by family at the Absolut of Aurora Park Nursing Home, at the age of 84. Henry was born in Niagara Falls, NY, on December 9, 1928, the son of the late John M. and Mary (nee Mis) Lojek.

    He attended and graduated from Niagara Falls High School, Class of 1945 and attended Niagara University, receiving his Bachelor's Degree in Accounting in 1957. He married Rita M. Berlinguette in St. Teresa's Church on July 2, 1955. Henry worked for Union Carbide for 35 years; following retirement he worked as a consultant for PSI.

    In addition to his wife of 57 years, Henry is survived by four loving children, John A. (Daria) of Depew, NY, Paul M. (Nichole Jones) of Marietta, OH, Mark R. (Cathy) of Akron, NY, and Judith E. (Suzanne Bradford) Lojek of Nashville, TN; five cherished grandchildren, Lisa, Lauren, Jakob, James and Luke Lojek; caring brother, John M. (Marilyn) Lojek of Lewiston, NY. Henry was predeceased by a son, James P. Lojek.

    The family will be present on Sunday from 2-4 PM and 7-9 PM at the (Amherst Chapel) AMIGONE FUNERAL HOME, INC., 5200 Sheridan Drive (corner of Hopkins Road), Amherst, where prayers will be offered on Monday at 9:45 AM, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial celebrated from St. Gregory the Great Church, 200 St. Gregory Court, Amherst, at 10:30 AM. Friends invited. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Alzheimer's Association of WNY or the St. Vincent de Paul Society. Entombment will be in Queen of Heaven Cemetery.

    White and pink gladioli adorned the altar of St. Teresa
    of the Infant Jesus Church for the double-ring wedding ceremony
    of Miss Rita M. Berlinguette and Henry J. Lojek at
    10 o'clock this morning, (July 2, 1955) The Rev. Salvatoro
    Piazza was the officiating clergyman and Miss Stella Wrobel
    was soloist.
    The bride is the daughter of
    Mr. and Mrs. Ernest Berlinguette,
    College Ave., and the bridegroom
    is the son of Mr. and Mrs. John
    Lojek, Dorchester Rd.
    Escorted to the altar by her
    father, the bride was gowned in
    maltese silk fabric inserted with
    Chantilly lace panels. Her
    French illusion veil was caught to
    a crown studded with rhinestones
    and seed pearls. She carried ah
    arm bouquet of white roses with
    an orchid.
    Miss Margaret Kavanaugh,
    maid of honor, was attired in a
    blue taffeta gown in waltz-length.
    Her headpiece was a blue tiara
    and she carried pink flowers.
    Similarly attired in pale rose taffeta
    gowns and wearing pink
    tiaras .were Miss Shirley Book
    and Miss Joanne Liersch, bridesmaids.
    Their floral arrangements
    were in blue.
    Harold Despres was best man.
    Guests were seated at the ceremony
    by Edward Lenhart and
    Harold Straughn.
    Guests will be received al the
    reception this evening at St.
    Teresa's Hall by the mother of
    the bride in a blue lace dress
    with white accessories and a
    white orchid corsage. The
    mother of the bridegroom will
    favor a pale rose silk dress with
    matching accessories and an orchid
    corsage.
    For traveling the bride has
    selected a gray silk suit with
    while accessories and an orchid
    corsage. After traveling through
    Canada; Mr. and Mrs. Lojek
    will reside at 1349 Roselle Ave.
