    Wilson, Dec. 16-A pretty church
    wedding took place at the North
    Ridge Lutheran church on Wednesday
    afternoon last, at 3 o'clock
    whan Miss Nellie W. Smalling.
    daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John C.
    Smalling of Wilson, was united in
    wedlock to Howard J. Bendt also
    of Wilson, the Rev. John W. Barlow
    officiating. The Lohengrin
    wedding march was played by Mrs.
    Fred Seabert of Ransomville. The
    flower girls were Janeta Rhorlng
    and Lois Budde..
    The bride who was given In marriage
    by her father, was prettily
    attired in white crepe romalne and
    carried white roses and snapdragons.
    She was attended by Miss
    Evelyn Bendt, sister of the groom,
    as maid of honor, who wore green
    crepe and carried pink carnations.
    The bride's slater, Miss Iva Smalling,
    waa bridesmaid and wore a
    proven of blue silk radium. She
    carried pink carnations. The
    groom was attended by Alfred
    Strublnsr as best man and Herbert
    Miller as groomsman.
    Immediately following the ceremony
    a reception was held at the
    home of Mr. and Mrs. Glenn Rohring
    of the Town Line road. The
    house was beautifully decorated in
    pink, white and blue. An elaborate
    wedding dinner was served covers
    beins: laid for one hundred sixty
    jruests, fourteen of whom were
    seated at the bride's table. After
    a short wedding journey the happy
    couple will be at home at Wilson.

    Rudolph H. Bendt of Burt entered
    into rest at the Lockport City
    hospital Wednesday morning October
    17, 1945. At the age of 86
    years. He is survived by 4, sons and
    4 daughters. Mrs. William Scbaoor,
    Mrs. Arthur Hausman, Howard
    and William Bendt of Wilson. Arthur
    Bendt of North Tonawanda
    Pred Bendt, Mrs. Herman Bobzien,
    Mrs. Ella Budde of Burt. Also 15
    grandchildren and 7 great-grandchrrdlren.
    Funeral services will be
    held from the home or his daughter,
    Mrs. Herman Bobzien Friday
    afternoon October 19 at 2:15 and 3
    o'clock at the North Ridge Lutheran

    Amelia, wife of Rudolph Bendt
    entered Into rest at her home on
    the Shadigee Road, Wilson, Saturday
    evening, May 8, at the age of
    81 years. She leaves besides her
    husband, four sons and four daughters,
    Mrs. William Schnoor, Arthur
    Bendt, Howard Bendt, William
    Bendt. Mrs. Arthur Hausman, all
    of Wilson, Fred Bendt and Mrs.
    Herman Bobzlen of Burt, and Mrs.
    Ella Budde of Newfane. Fifteen
    grandchildren and three great grand
    children, also one sister, Mrs. Augusta
    Mahl of Niagara Falls. Funeral
    services will be conducted Wednesday
    afternoon, May 13 from her
    late home at 2 o'clock and from
    the N. Ridge Lutheran Church at
    3:30. Burial In N. Ridge Lutheran
    Cemetery.

    WILSON, April 20-Mr. and Mrs.
    Rudolph Bendt of the Shadigee
    road. Wilson, were pleasantly surprised
    on Tuesday evening when
    their children and grandchildren
    gathered at the home of Mr. and
    Mrs. Arthur Hausman to celebrate
    their golden wedding anniversary.
    The dining room was decorated in
    gold and white, with a large white
    bell suspended over the center of
    the table. At seven o'clock an elaborate
    dinner was served. The table
    was centered with a bouquet of yel
    low and white flowers, with a three
    tiered wedding cake decorated In
    gold at each end. The evening was
    spent In playing cards and bingo.

    of St. Johnsburg. Mr. and Mrs.
    Bendt have resided on t h e S h a d l g ee
    road the e n t i r e fifty years of their
    marriage.

    EAST-WILSON, Dec. 16 - Mrs. Minnie Smalling, 78, died last night at her home, Willow Rd. She was the widow of John Smalling. Mrs. Smalling had ben ill for five years. She is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Glenn Rohring, Town Line Rd., Mrs. Howard Bendt, Willow Rd., and Mrs. Morton Dysinger, Dysinger's Corners; six
    grandchildren; two great grandchildren, and one brother, Fred Poeller, Barker. Mrs. Smalling, daughter of Christine and John Poeller, came to this area when a child with her parents. She was a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church, North Ridge. Funeral services will be held Saturday at 2 p.m. at the family home and at 2:30 at St. Peter's Church, the Rec. Carl Oldach will officiate. Interment will be at North Ridge.
