Garrett Ave., who died
Saturday (April 8, 1972) in
Mount St. Mary's Hospital
after a one-week illness.
Mrs, Ritter was born in
Niagara Falls, the daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. George Benedict
of this city. She was a member
of the Insurance Women's
Association and St. Teresa's
Church.
Besides her parents she is
survived by a daughter, Mary
Ann; a son, Kevin, both at
home; two sisters, Mrs.
Stanley (Dorothy) Pietak, this
city and Mrs. John' (Donna)
O'Brien, Reisterstown, Md.;
four brothers, William, Robert
and David Benedict, all of this
dty, and George Benedict,
Detroit, Mich.
Funeral services will be held
at. 9 a.m. Tuesday at the
Hardison Funeral Home,
lewiston, and at 9:30 a.m. at
St. Teresa's Church, Niagara
Falls. Burial will be in St.
Mary's cemetery.
Friends may call from 7 to 9
p.m. today and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9
p.m. Monday at the funeral
home.

engagement of their daughter, Mary
Eileen, to Mr. Charles Nordln Bitter,
son of Mr. and Mrs Burr H.
Bitter, Lewiston road.
Mr. Bitter is a graduate of De
Veaux school and attended Cornell
university, Ithaca.
He was in the air force service
for five years. At present he is employed
at Moore Business Forms,
Inc.
Miss Benedict and Mr. Bitter are
planning to be married the middle
of July.

In a setting of garden flowers, a
lovely summer wedding took place
this morning at 11:30 o'clock In the
rectory of sacred Heart church.

George Allen Benedict, Cleveland avenue,
became the bride of Mr. Charles
Nordin Ritter, son of Mr. and Mrs.
Burr Howard Ritter, Lewiston road.
The Rev. Francis L. Schwartz offi-
ciated.
Given in marriage by her father,
the bride was lovely in a gown of
white dotted swiss fashioned with
a high neckline, fitted bodice and
cap sleeves. Her small hat of white
straw was trimmed with tulle and
white flowers. She carried a colonial
bouquet of white carnations.
Mrs. Stanley Pietak, sister of the
bride, was matron of honor.
Mr. John Howard Ritter was his
brother's best man.
A wedding breakfast at Liddells'
Lewiston, for members of the imme-
diate families followed the cere-
mony.
Later today the couple will leave
on a motor trip through the New
England states, the bride travelling
in a pink gabardine suit with white
accessories and a corsage of gar-
denias. After July 15, Mr. and Mrs.
Ritter will be at home at 531 Sev-
enth street.
