Mrs. Johanna Bensley, 1009
West Ave, died yesterday
following a short illness.
Mrs. Bensley was born April
5,1992 in Ontario, Canada, the
daughter of William J. and
Bridget (Knowland) Redmond.
She had lived most of
her life in Medina and was a
member of St. Mary's Roman
Catholic Church.
Her husband, Gerald H.
Bensley died in December of
1980. They had celebrated their
66th wedding anniversary July
8, 1980.
Mrs. Bensley was mother of
Gerald R. Bensley, Raymond
(Cecelia) Bensley, Robert
(Ann) Bensley and Donald
(Marilyn) Bensley, all of
Medina, Mrs, Phyllis Thompson
of West Seneca, Mrs.
Roger (Rita) Barry and Mrs.
Harold (Mary) Whiting, both
of Medina, Mrs. George
(Lucille) Hotchkiss of Pennsylvania,
and the late Walter
Bensley.
Also surviving are 17
grandchildren; 99 greatgrandchildren;
two greatgreat-
grandchildren; one
brother and two sisters,
William J. Redmond of Lockpart,
Mrs. Ida Mae Bunn of
Albion, Mrs. Lauretta Bennett
of Middleport, and several
nieces and nephews.
Friends may call tonight (7-
9) and Friday (2-4, 7-9) at the
Bates-Cleary Funeral Home,
232 Park Ave. Funeral services
will be held Saturday, 10:30
a.m. in St Mary's Church
where a mass of Christian
burial will be celebrated by the
Rev. George Yisngst
Burial will be in St Mary's
Cemetery.

LOCKPORT, Aug. 11 - Mrs.
Bridgett Redmond, 77, died last
night at the home of her daughter,
Mrs. Gerald Bensley of Mapleridge
road, Medina, following an extended
illness. Born in Canada, she
came to the United States, 35 years
ago. Her husband William Redmond
died five years ago. Surviving
are three daughters, besides
Mrs. Bensley, and a son. They are
Mrs. Margaret Snow, of Albion;
Mrs. David Bunn, Rochester, Mrs.
Spencer Bennett, Middleport, and
William J. of Lockport.
Services will be held Thursday
at 8:30 at Thibault Funeral home,
Lockport.
