    PRINTFusco – Eddie, age 58, of North Tonawanda, entered into rest on April 22, 2022. Beloved son of Mary Jane “Janie” (late Edward Fusco / late Timothy Trzeciak). Dearest brother of Paula (late Donald Kenney), Robbie (Vince) Galvan, and Jackie (Kevin) Graves. Also survived by his daughter Cassie Fusco-Kobayshi. Cherished by his grandchildren Kaylie McAndrew, Salvatore and JuJu Fusco. Eddie was also survived by his niece Jackie Stinson and nephews, Don (Carla) Kenney, Max and Sam Galvan. Eddie was the proud owner of Fat Sal’s Pub & Eatery in Akron, NY where he was “famous” for his Buffalo logs and his quick wit. He was also a veteran in the U.S. Navy.

    Interment will take place in the near future at the Western New York National Cemetery, Pembrook, NY

    Funeral services are slated
    Friday morning for Edward W.
    Fusco of North Tonawanda, a 48-
    year-old highly-respected
    criminal investigator for the
    Niagara County Sheriff's
    Department.
    Investigator Fusco, a 15-year
    veteran of the department, died
    early yesterday afternoon at
    DeGraff Memorial Hospital
    shortly after being stricken with
    an apparent heart attack at
    Vandervoort and Ganson Streets
    n North Tonawanda at about
    noon.
    Firemen and police administered
    first aid at the scene.
    Investigator Fusco was a
    lifelong resident of North
    ronawanda and was active in
    Knights of Columbus Council
    2535 and the Renaissance Club.
    He was described as one of the
    Sheriff's Department's best
    Investigators by Dean J. Gavin,
    lead of the criminal unit. .
    An investigator for nine years
    he was credited with being instrumental

    in solving some of
    the major crimes in the county,
    including a number of
    burglaries and a murder in
    Youngstown.
    Survivors include his wife, the
    former Mary Jane Benthin;
    three daughters, Mrs. Donald
    Kenney of North Tonawanda,
    and Roberta and Jacquelyn
    Fusco, both at home; one son, S.
    Edward, also at home; his
    mother, Mrs. Emilia Fusco of
    North Tonawanda; three
    brothers, Andrew of North
    Tonawanda and Frank and
    Albert of Texas; one sister, Mrs.
    William Barone of North
    Tonawanda, and one granddaughter.
    Friends may call from 2 to 4
    and 7 to 9 p.m. today and
    tomorrow at the Larango
    Funeral Home, 652 Oliver St.,
    North Tonawanda.
    Prayers will be said at 9 a.m.
    Friday at the funeral home,
    followed by a Mass of Christian
    Burial at 9:30 in Ascension
    Church, 172 Robinson St.
    Burial will be at Mount Olivet
    Cemetery in the Town of
    Tonawanda

    Medina, died Sunday morning
    at the Medina Memorial
    Hospital, where she had been a
    patient since June 1978.
    Mrs. Benthin was born Sept.
    25, 1886, in Wolcottsville, the
    daughter of Mr. and Mrs.
    Herman Korkow
    She had lived in Medina for
    most of her life and was a
    member of St. Peter's
    Evangelical Lutheran Church.
    Her husband, Albert Benthin,
    died April 3,1955, and she was
    the mother of the late Howard
    Benthin and the late John
    Benthin.
    Survivors include two sons,
    Walter Benthin of Medina and
    George Benthin of Waterport;
    12 grandchildren and six greatgrandchildren;
    a sister, Mrs.
    Ella Sy of Wolcottsville and
    several nieces and nephews.
    Friends may call Tuesday (2-
    4 and 7-9) at the Barnes-Tuttle
    Funeral Home, 226 Pearl St.,
    Medina, where funeral services
    will be held Wednesday at 11
    a.m., with the Rev. Ronald
    Haefer officiating. Interment
    will be in Mount Pleasant
    Cemetery, West Shelby.
