    TOWN OF WHEATFIELD —
    William "Bill" Richard Stoeckel, Jr., age 86, of the Town of Wheatfield, February 13, 2013 at his home while under the care of Niagara Hospice. Bill was born on December 18, 1926. His parents were the late William and Martha (Werth) Stoeckel. He was a WWII U.S. Army veteran, after being discharged from the army he joined his father and brother in the Wm. Stoeckel & Sons Construction Co. For the last 10 years before his retirement in 1992, he worked for the Sierra Research Corp. He was a member of the Gratwick Hose Fire Co. and was a life-long member of St. Mark Lutheran Church. Bill enjoyed spending as much time as possible at his cabin at Lorimer Lake, Canada. He also enjoyed wood working, carving and watercolor painting.
    Beloved husband of Esther (nee Ziemendorf) Stoeckel; dear father of Anne (Scott) Peck of Spencerport, NY, Nancy (Kieran Gibbons) Stoeckel of San Francisco, CA; special nephew, Mark Berube; grandfather of Jay and Joshua Juron, Andrew and David Peck; great-grandfather of Kai. He was the brother of the late Howard and Edward Stoeckel and Violet Berube; uncle of many nieces and nephews.
    Friends may call at the Fretthold Funeral Home, Inc., 1241 Oliver St. at Ward Rd. in North Tonawanda on Sunday from 3:00-7:00 PM. A funeral service will be held on Monday at 10:30 AM from St. Mark Lutheran Church, 1135 Oliver St., the Rev. David Belasic will officiate. Flowers gratefully declined. Memorials may be made to St. Mark Lutheran Church or the Niagara Hospice.

    REV. PHILIP A. ZIEMENDORF
    The Rev. Philip A. Ziemendorf, 61, died Saturday afternoon at his home on the Falls boulevard, St. Johnsburg, after a prolonged illness. Born in the town of Wheatfield, he entered the ministry 1906 and retired in 1935. He leaves his wife, Concordia, nee Scheifler; a son, Paul of the U. S. Navy, home on a furlough; four daughters, Mrs. Horace Fath of Huron, ND., Mrs. Thomas M. Hinkley, of Tonawanda and Ruth and Esther at home; a granddaughter, his mother, Mrs. Albertine Ziemendorf of Wheatfield, and two brothers, Theodore of Niagara Falls and Alfred of Prentice, Wis. Rites will be held Tuesday afternoon at 2 from the residence and 3:30 from the St. John's church in St Johnsburg. Burial will be in St John's cemetery.

    Wheatfield Woman Dies At Age 67
    North Tonawanda - Mrs. Concordia C. Ziemendorf, 67, of 2888 Niagara Falls Blvd. Town of Wheatfield died today (July 6, 1963) after a long illness. She was the widow of Rev. Philip A. Ziemendorf. Born in Illinois, she had lived in this city for many years. She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church and the Ladies Aid Society of the church. Surviving are. three daughters, Mrs. T. N. (Dorothy) Hinkley Jr., Williamsville, Mrs. John (Ruth) Kureczka, this city, and Mrs. William (Esther) Stoeckel Jr., Town of Wheatfield, a son, Paul M. Ziemendorf, Town of Wheatfield;
    a stepdaughter, Mrs. Horace Fath, Jackson. Mich.; a sister, Mrs. William Boeckelmann; and a brother, Emil Scheifler, both of St Louis, Mo.; nine grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Monday at the Frethold Funeral Home by the Rev. Clarence W. Rabe. Burial will be in St John's Lutheran Cemetery.
