    Notes:

    Benson A. Benton Sr., born in Berry Brook, NY on December 22, 1917 and passed away peacefully on May 14, 2017. He is a retired United Methodist minister, World War II veteran, and a member of the Masonic Fraternity.
    He was predeceased by his wife, Florence J. Benton, brothers Robert H. Benton Sr., Paul Benton (Leah), and Bill Benton (Kitty). He is survived by his three children: Benson A. Benton, Jr. (Judy), Hugh M. Benton II (Rebecca), and Helen Smith (David). He is also survived by six granddaughters and 5 great-grandchildren.
    There will be a Memorial service at St. James United Methodist Church on June 24th at 10 AM followed by a Masonic service. Interment will be at Acacia Cemetary at 12:30. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Masonicare, 22 Masonic Avenue, Wallingford, CT 06492 or St. James United Methodist Church, 4661 Porter Road, Niagara Falls, NY. 14305-3309.

    ef hie daughter, Florence,
    to Benson Benton, son of Mr. and
    Mrs. Hugh M, Benton, of Harrison
    Avenue, Lockport. The wedding will
    be solemnised In April.

    A beautiful gown of French lace was chosen by Miss Florence

    Jack, daughter of Archibald W. Jack of 47 Cleveland Drive.
    Buflalo. for her marriage to Benton A. Benton, ton of Mr. and
    Mrs. Hugh M. Benton, 52 Harmon Ave.. Lockport. which was
    solemnized Saturday at 4:30 in First Presbyterian Church.
    The town was fashioned with a
    tight bodice and full skirt extend-
    ing to a full train. The leg-o'-mut-
    ton sleeves formed points over the
    hands. On a bow at the keyholle
    neckline, thebride wore a pin previ-
    ously worn by her mothr on her
    wedding gown and her cap head-
    dress was made from lace from the
    gown worn by her grandmother, the
    late Mrs. Daniel R. Sillesky, on her
    golden wedding anniversary. Her
    finger-tip veil was of tulle. She
    carried white roses.
    BRIDE'S ATTENDANTS

    Mrs. Peter G. Kurch of Leetsdale,
    Pa., was matron of honor, wearing
    a pale blue faille gown with sweet-
    heart neckline and full skirt. The
    Misses Janet Jack of Buffalo and
    Charlotte Cole of Rochester,m brides-
    maids, wore pale pink tissue taffeta,
    fashioned similarly to Mrs. Kurch's
    gown. Carrol Ann Kurch, flower
    girl, wore white dotted swiss with
    an off-shoulder ruffle, right bodice
    and full skirt, tied at the waist with
    a pink ribbon. Mrs. Kurch carried
    pink roses and grape hyacinths tied
    with pink ribbon and the brides-
    maids carried pink roses and carna-
    tions, tied with blue. The flower
    girl's bouquet was of bachelor but-
    tons and daisies, centered with roses.
    Mrs. Robert C. Bishop, organist,
    played the wedding music and Miss
    Sally Benton sang "Always" an d
    "Whither Thou Goest." Miss Ben-
    ton's gown of blue had a satin
    bodice with sweetheart neckline and
    a marquisette skirt. The bride-
    groom's mother wore a gray crepe
    afternoon dress.
    Dr. Stephen Palmer, minister, per-
    formed the ceremony and the bride
    was given in marriage byher father,
    Robert Benton was best man and
    ushers were William Benton of
    Washington. Archibald W. Jack Jr.,
    Buffalo and Donald Butterworth,
    Houghton. Robert Benton Jr., was
    ring bearer.
    LILIES DECORATE CHURCH
    Palms and Easter lillies decorated
    the church for the ceremony and a
    reception to 60 guests which fol-
    lowed. Fourteen were seated at the
    bridal table, centered with the
    bride's cake.
    Mr. and Mrs. Benton lkeft for an
    eastern wedding trip, the bride
    wearing a light blue wool suit with
    black accessories and a corsage of
    red roses. They will make their
    home at 52 Harrison Ave.
    Out-of-town wedding guests at-
    tended from Buffalo, Jamestown
    and Washington.
    The bridgeroom was a technical
    sergeant in the Signal Corps and
    served in Europe and Japan. The
    bride served as a corporal in the
    Marine Corps, Women's Reserve,
    Aviation Branch.

    1968) at the age of 83.
    Born in Richland Center, Wis.
    in 1883, he was the son of Robert
    and Sarah Morrow Benton.
    He has been a resident of
    Barker for many years, and
    was employed by Harrison Radiator
    Division of General Mo
    tors Corp. until his retirement.
    He is survived by his widow,
    Mary Paul Benton: one daughter,
    Sarah W Benton of Rosemont.
    Pa.: four sons, Robert H.
    Benton of Barker, the Rev.
    Benson A Benton of Sanborn,
    R. Paul Benton of North Tona-,
    wanda. and John T Benton of
    Lockport. He was the father of
    the late William Benton of
    Springfield, Ill. He is also sur-
    vived by 14 grandchildren.
    Friends may call today from

    7 to 9 p.m. t t the Hood Funeral
    Home in Barker, and tomorrow
    from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9. Services
    will be held Monday at 2 p.m.
    with the Rev. Mendel Danningburg
    officiating. Burial will be
    in Hartland Central Cemetery

    An Open House celebra-
    tion will be held from 1 until
    4 p.m. tomorrow at the
    home of Mr. and Mrs. Hugh
    Benton, 8682 High St., Barker,
    on the occasion of the
    couple's 50th wedding anniversary.
    Friends are invited
    to attend.
    It was a simple but impressive
    ceremony which
    united in marriage Miss
    Mary E. Paul of Berry
    Brook, N.Y. and Hugh Benton.
    The ceremony was held
    at the home of the bride's
    sister.. Mrs. George Emory
    in Evansville, Wis. The bride
    and bridegroom had met at
    the Evansville Seminary
    which they both attended.
    The late Rev. C. A. Stoll officiated.
    Mrs. Emory, who now
    lives in Binghamton, N. Y.,
    is present to in Barker to
    attend the celebration.
    The couple have five living
    children. They are Robert
    Benton of Barker, an engineer
    with the Harrison Radiator
    Division of General
    Motors Corp. at Lockport;
    the Rev. Benson Benton,
    pastor of the Sanborn Methodist
    Church; Miss Sally
    Benton who teaches science
    in Philadelphia, Pa.; Paul
    Benton of North Tonawanda,
    Sylvania Corp. draftsman;
    and John Benton of Lockport,
    with IBM in Buffalo.
    Another son. William, was
    the victim of an automobile
    accident four years ago.
    They also have 14 grandchildren.
    Mrs. Benton will greet her
    guests in an orchid print
    nylon Jersey dress complemented
    with phalaenopsis
    orchids.
