John Teixeira Sr., a former
resident of this city, died today
(April 22. 1963) in Wilkes-
Barre, Pa.', after a lengthy illness.
Funeral arrangements
will be made in that city
Mr Teixeira, who formerly
lived at 529 18th St, was born
in Portugal. A former coal
miner, he came here to live
several years ago after being
stricken with silicosis. He
was employed by the Union
Carbide Metals Co. and Scru
fari Construction Co. here before
returning to Wilkes- Bar
re in 1952.
In addition to his wife and
daughter, with whom he lived
In Wifkes-Barre, surviving are
two sons, John Teixeira Jr.
and Joseph Teixeira, both of
the Town of Niagara, and
nine grandchildren.

John married BENINGO, Josephine about 1930. Josephine (daughter of BENINGO, Joe and Rose) was born on 8 Nov 1911 in PA; died on 15 Jun 1988. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]
