Lady of the Rosary church. The
bride, the former Miss Josephine
Ann Guariglia. is the daughter of
Mr. and Mrs. Patsy Guariglia,
Hyde Park boulevard.
The bridegroom is the son of
Mr. and Mrs. Harry Berard. Packard
road. Mr. and Mrs. Berard
will reside at 3229 Packard road.

Harry Berard Sr. 70, of 619
Jefferson Ave., died Tuesday
(Juy 1, 1969) at his home after
a brief illness. .
He was born in Renfrew, Ont.,
and was a resident of Niagara
Falls for 43 years. He was employed
inr the maintenance department
at Hooker Chemical
Corp. for 38 years and had been
retired since 1964.
He is survived by h i s wife,
Anna; four sons, Emmett, Stanley,
Joseph and Harry-Berard
Jr., all of this city; and a sister,
Mrs. Lena Ward Barlem, North
Bay, Oht. He is also survived
by seven grandchildren and
three great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held
at the Lane F u n e r a l Home
Thursday at 9:30 a.m. and at
Prince of Peace Church at 10
a.m. Burial will be in Gate of
Heaven Cemetery.
Friends may call from 2 p.m.
to 10 p.m. at the funeral home
The Rosary will be recited to
day at 8 p.m.

Mr. and Mrs. Harry Berard
Sr., 619 Jefferson Ave., celebrated
their -golden wedding
anniversary Saturday when
they repeated their marriage
vows: at St. Mary of the Cataract
Church.
They were also guests of
honor at a dinner p a r t y at
Lenardo's Restaurant, and at
a family reception at LaSalle
Sportsman's Club.
The former Ann Newberry
and Mr. Berard were married
Dec. 9, 1918 at St. Francis
Xavier Church, Renfrew, Ont.
Mr. Berard worked at
Hooker Chemical Corp. for 38
years until his retirement in
December 1963.
Mr. and Mrs. Berard have
four sons, Emmett, Stanley,
Joseph C. and Harry Berard
Jr., all of this city; seven
grandchildren and t h r ee
great-grandchildren.
