    Shirley Ann Nicholas passed away January 20, 2017 in Briody Health Care Facility. Born April 25, 1937 in Middleport she was the daughter of Gordon and Ruth (Drum) Berean. Shirley worked as a bookkeeper for William Kugler & Bros. Scrap Metal, Lockport. She is survived by her husband Richard F. Nicholas; sister-in-law Suzanne (George) Nicholas Kugler; aunt of Lynne (Dennis) Berean Lombard, Anne Kugler Durham, Carolyn Kugler, and George Kugler, Jr.

    MIDDLEPORT-The marriage of Miss Shirly Ann
    Bereari, daughter, of Mrs. Gordon Berean, Maple
    Avenue, and the lateJMr. Berean, and Richard Francis
    Nicholas, son of Mr. and Mrs. Francis Nicholas, Newfane,
    was solemnized at St. Bridget's Church, Newfane,
    by Rev. William J. Sutherland.
    The bride was given in.
    marriage by her brother,
    Belmont Berean, She wore
    a gown of candlelight peau
    de soie with accents of
    Chantilly,'lace. Cascades of
    lace in back extended to a
    court train. She carried'
    white chrysanthemums and
    yellow sweetheart roses.

    MRS. JAMES Croh, Newfane,
    was matron of honor
    and bridesmaids were the
    Misses Suzanne Nicholas,
    of Newfane, and Ann Williams,
    of Lockport.
    The attendants were
    gowned in princess-style
    dresses of Burgundy-colored
    velvet, and c a r r i ed
    shaded chrysanthemums of
    pale pink and purple centered
    with sweetheart roses.
    Robert Kerwin, Newfane,
    was best man and ushers
    were William Neven, Newfane,
    and John Oliver, Middleport.
    MORE THAN 200 guest
    attended a weddiog reception
    at the Niagara-Orleans
    Country Club. Mrs. Berean
    received in an ensemble of
    amethyst b r o c a d e with
    beige accessories and a corsage
    of pink carnations.
    Mrs. Nicholas was attired
    in a sheath dress of green
    brocade with matching accessories
    and yellow carnation
    corsage.

    WHEN THEY RETURN
    from a wedding trip to Florida,
    the new Mr. and Mrs.
    Nicholas will be at home
    in Maple Avenue, Middleport.
    The bride is a graduate
    of Royalton-Hartland Central
    School and the bridegroom
    of Newfane Central
    School. He 'attended the
    University of Buffalo
    school of engineering.

    of 47S6 Salt Works Road. Medina,
    died Wednesday at Medina Memoral
    Hospital,,
    She was born Aug. 3, 1901 in the
    Town of Hartland, daughter of Mr.
    and Mrs. Judge Drum. She was
    employed at Germain's Red &
    White Market in Middleport for several
    years. Mrs. Berean was a member
    of the Middleport United
    Methodist Church, and had resided
    in Medina with her daughter for the
    past IS years.
    Her husband, Gordon Berean', died
    in 1947. She was also pre-deceased
    by a son, the late Belmont Berean.
    Survivors include a daughter, Mrs.
    Richard (Shirley) Nicholas of Medina,
    two grandchildren, Lynne Rae
    Berean of Liverpool, N.Y. and Belmont
    Berean Jr. of Orlando, Fla.;
    one sister, Doris Drum of Johnson
    Creek; and several nieces and
    nephews.
    Friends may call Thursday (7-9)
    at the Bates, Wallace and Heath
    Funeral Home Inc., 38 State St,
    where funeral services will be held
    Friday at 11 a.m. Burial will be in
    Hartland Central Cemetery

    BARKER, Aug. 11 -Delbert A.
    Berean, 85, died yesterday at the
    home of his daughter, Mrs. George
    Burgess, Barker, after a long illness.
    He is survived by his daughter,
    Mrs. Burgess, two grandchildren and
    one great grandchild. His only son,
    Gordon Berean, Middleport, died
    three weeks ago. He is also sur-
    vived by two sisters, Mrs. Veva Beers,
    Ridgewood, and Mrs. Lottis Brad-
    ley, Spokane, Wash., two brothers,
    Horace Berean, Hamburg, and Elmer
    Berean, Buffalo.
    Funeral services will be held at
    the Hood funeral home, Barker, at
    2:30 p.m. Sunday with Rev. Wes-
    ley Kofahl officiating. Interment
    will be in Somerset cemetery where
    the Masonic committement service
    will be conducted.
    Mr. Berean was a member of the
    Barker Methodist church and had
    been a member of Somerset lodge,
    F. and A. M., since 8192 receiving
    his 50-year medal eight yeaars ago.
    He had held the office tyler of the
    lodge for many years.
    He owned and operated a large
    cooper shop in Barker for many
    years before his retirement in 1934
    when he with his wife went to live
    with their daughter. Mrs. Berean
    died soon afterward. In politics he
    was affiliated with Democratic par-
    ty and was active in party activities.

    BARKER. March 15 - Funeral
    services were held this afternoon at
    2 o'clock at the home of Mr. and
    Mrs. George Burgess, Somerset, for
    Mrs. Grace Berean, 83. Who died
    Wednesday st the Burgess home.
    The Rev, Ernest F. Scott and Dr.
    Lincoln L. Rogers, pastors of the
    Somerset and Barker Methodist
    Episcopal churches, officiated and
    burial was in Somerset cemetery.
    Mrs. Berean was born in Niagara
    county and lived in Barker for
    many years. Her husband, one
    daughter, Mrs. George Burgess, one
    son. Gordon of Buffalo, a sister,
    Mrs. Jesse Laport of Loekport and
    a brother. Frank Enderton of Barker
    survive.
