    WIECH, RICHARD C., age 93 of North Tonawanda, February 28, 2023 under the care of Hospice. Husband of 70 years to the late Lorraine N. (nee Lemanski) Wiech who died in 2021, father of Richard (Linda) Wiech, Martin (Bud) Wiech, Cynthia (Frank) Phillips, Lori (Terry) Fetterhoff, Ronald (Jill) Wiech, Patricia Denney, Amy (Jim) Wiech and Lisa (Tom) Behm, 13 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and predeceased by one grandchild, brother of the late Henry, Eugene, Steve, Michaline and Florence. Also many nieces and nephews. Rich along with his wife Lorranine owned and operated Wiech's Delicatessen on Oliver Street in North Tonawanda for many years. He also worked for Bell Aerospace. His interest in working for funeral homes began with Pawenski, Lorango and Colucci Funeral Homes, the same location on Oliver St. in North Tonawanda. Rich's longest funeral home employment was with John 0. Roth Funeral Home, with owners John O. Roth and son Jay W. Roth. His very dedicated service with the Roth Funeral Home lasted more than 40 years before he retired. Everyone who knew Rich appreciated his forever ongoing sense of humor, mostly during the calling hours at the funeral home.. Rich also worked for Jack Cobler Hearse and Limosine Service for many years. There will be no prior visitation. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday March 11, 2023 at 10 AM at St. Jude The Apostle R.C. Church, 800 Niagara Falls Blvd. in North Tonawanda. Please assemble at the church. A private entombment will be in St. Francis of Assisi Chapel Columbarium. Memorial contributions in memory of Rich may be made to Niagara Hospice. Wiech; loving mother of Richard (Linda) Wiech, Randy (Bud) Wiech, Cynthia (Frank) Phillips, Lori (Terry) Fetterhoff, Ronald (Jill) Wiech, Patricia Denney, Amy (Jim) Wiech and Lisa (Tom) Behm; grandmother of 13 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren and predeceased by one grandchild; daughter of the late Aloyes and Natalia Lemanski and sister of the late Al (late Gerry) Lemanski; also survived by many nieces and nephews. Lorraine along with her husband "Rich" owned and operated Wiech's Delicatessen on Oliver Street in North Tonawanda. She also worked at Best Taste Mini Market on 5th Ave. in North Tonawanda. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday, February 13th at 10 AM in St. Jude the Apostle RC Church, 800 Niagara Falls Blvd. in North Tonawanda. A private placement of cremains will take place immediately following the Funeral Mass with Lorraine's immediate family. Please be mindful that face coverings and social distancing will be required. Memorial contributions in memory of Lorraine may be made to Niagara Hospice.
