    Funeral Home in Pulteney.
    The Rev. Bruce Burke, pastor of
    Pulteney Presbyterian C h u r ch
    will officiate. Burial will be in Glen
    View Cemetery, Pulteney.
    Friends may call at the Funeral
    Home from 7 to 9 p.m. today from
    2 and 4 p.m. and 7 to I p.m.
    tomorrow.
    Mr. Bergstresser, a prominent
    Yates County farmer, died in Seneca
    County on Friday. He was
    born Feb. 20, 1870 to the Town of
    Potter, Yates County, son of Henry
    and Marguerite Hermans Bergstresser.
    He is survived by a daughter,
    Mrs. Lela Tyler of Prattsburg; a
    son Henry of Pulteney; a brother,
    Albert, and two sisters. Mrs.
    George Lahman and Mrs. Bertha
    Sheehan, all of Hammondsport;
    three grandchildren and t h r e e
    great-grandchildren.

    Jacob married CHAMBERS, Anna about 1902. Anna (daughter of CHAMBERS, William) was born about 1866 in Cincinnati, Hamilton County, OH; died on 18 May 1935 in Pulteney, Steuben County, NY. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]

    PULTENEY - The death of
    Mrs. Jacob Bergstresser, aged 69,
    occurred suddenly at her home
    Sunday evening, following a short
    illness due to a heart ailment.
    Mrs. Bergstresser was born in
    Cincinnati, Ohio, the daughter of
    IMr. and Mrs. William Chambers.
    'she was united In marriage to
    Mr. Huey and to them two children
    were born, Mrs. Berlyn Hobart
    of Penn Yan and Mrs. E. L.
    Coon of Rushville. Several years
    after his death she married Jacob
    Bergstresser were the two chilmoved
    to Pulteney to reside. Mrs.
    Harry Tyler of Elmbois and Henry
    Bergstresse were the two chiidren
    born of this marriage. Her
    husband and two sisters. Mrs.
    Hattie Decker of Penn Yan and
    Mrs. Vina Tomion of Second Milo,
    also survive.
    The funeral will be held Wednesday
    av 2 p. m. from the home
    of Henry Bergstresser. The Rev.
    G. A. Beers will officiate and interment
    will be in Glen View Cemetery.

    HAMMONDSPORT, Feb. 24.-
    Death claimed another of the older
    resident's of Hammondsport early
    Tuesday morning, when Henry
    Bergstresser. aged 83 years, was
    stricken as a result of a six weeks
    illness. Pneumonia was the direct
    cause of his death. The deceased
    man was one of the best known
    farmers in this section, Owning
    a farm about one mile north of
    this village. He was born in
    Yatea County and removed to
    Hammondsport about 3 6 years
    ago. He was a member of the
    Lutheran Church at Gorham,
    where funeral services and burial
    will be conducted on Thursday
    afternoon, A short prayer service
    will be conducted from his late
    home here Thursday morning at
    10 o'clock, following which his
    remains will be taken to Gorham.
    Besides his wife, he is survival
    by five daughters, Mrs. Bertha
    Sheehan, Mrs. William Laffler and
    Mrs. George Lehman of Ham-
    mondsport. Mrs Fred Hammond
    and Mrs, Alice Cook of Penn Yan;
    two sons. Albert of Hammonds-
    port, and Jacob of Pulteney.

    HAMMONDSPORT, Oct. 25.--
    Mrs. Henry Bergstresser died at
    her home on the middle road, one
    mile from here Wednesday afternoon
    at 5:30 o'clock. She had
    been ill since the preceding Saturday,
    Mrs. Margaret Bergstresser
    was the daughter of the late Mr.
    and Mrs. Henry Herman, of Yates
    county. She was married to Henry
    Bergstresser 63 years ago. For
    the past 30 years she bad lived
    at the farm where she died. Mr.
    Bergstresser died four years ago.
    Mrs. Bergstresser was of a quiet,
    retiring disposition and by her
    kind acts won the esteem of many
    friends. The deceased was for
    many years a member of the Lutheran
    Church at Gorham.
    She is survived by seven children,
    Mrs. Reuben Cook, Penn
    Yan; Mrs, Fred Hammond, Benton.
    Jacob Bergstresser, Mrs.
    William Latter, Pulteney. Mrs.
    Bertha Sheehan of this village;
    Mrs. George Lehman of the town
    of Urbana, and Albert Bergstresser
    at home; three sisters.
    Mrs. Fred Keohler. Benton, Miss
    Lena Herman, Potter, and Mrs.
    Dell Fisher, Rushville; one brother,
    Michael Herman of Potter.
    She also leaves several grandchildren.
    The funeral was held Friday
    afternoon with a prayer at the
    house at 12:30 o'clock by the
    Rev. p. F. Asher and at the Lutheran
    Church at Gorham at 2
    o'clock. Burial was in Schuman
    Cemetery, near Gorham
