Husband of the late Susanne (nee Koelemeyer) Berhalter and the late Grace Ann (nee Harris) Berhalter; father of Jaime (Teresa) Berhalter Jr., Jenine (John) Szymanski, Melanie (Don) Clarkson, and David (Holly) Daum; grandfather of eight grandchildren; brother of the late Alice Berhalter and the late Thomas Berhalter. James was an elementary school teacher who taught in the City of Tonawanda School System for more than 40 years. He also served in the U.S. Army National Guard. There will be no prior visitation. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Friday, August 9th at 10 AM in St. Francis of Assisi Chapel, 71 Adam Street, in Tonawanda.     A resident of Tonawanda
    the past thirteen years,
    Mrs. Berhalter had
    taught at Riverview
    School and was an active
    member of St. Francis of
    Assisi Parish.
    She is survived by her
    husband, James P.
    Berhalter; a son, Jaime
    B e r h a l t e r ; two
    daughters, Jenine and
    Melanie Berhalter, all at
    home; her mother, Mrs.
    Geraldine Koelemeyer
    pf Tonawanda and a
    brother, Neil (Carol)

    The family will be
    present from 7-9 p.m.
    Thursday and 2-4 and 7-9
    p.m. Friday at the Hamp
    Funeral Home, ' Inc.,
    Adam and Seymour Sts.,
    Tonawanda where
    prayers will be said at 9

    by a Mass Qf Christian
    Burial at 9:30 a.m., at St.

    Mr. and Mrs. Cornelius P. Koelemeyer of Minnesota Ave., Buffalo,
    announce the engagement of their daughter, Susanne Carol
    to James P. Berbalter, son of Mr. and Mrs. Frank Berhalter
    of Robinson Street, North Tonawanda. The future bride and her
    fiance both graduated from State University College of Buffalo
    with a degree in Elementary Education. Miss Koelemeyer is
    on the faculty of Riverview School in Tonawanda, and ber
    fiance is on the faculty of Mullen School An Aug. 19 wedding is
    planned.

    A Papal Blessing was be-
    stowed this morning upon the
    marriage of Miss Suzanne Carol
    Koelemeyer and James Paul Ber-
    halter at 11 o'clock in St. Jo-
    seph's R.C. Church in Buffalo.
    The Rev. Raymond Mahar,
    cousin of the bridegroom, per-
    formed the ceremony before an
    altar graced with vases of white
    chrysanthemums.
    The bride is the daughter of
    Mr. and Mrs. Cornelius P. Koele-
    meyer, of 137 Minnesota Ave.,

    Buffalo. The bridegroom is the
    son of Mr. and Mrs. Berhalter
    of 437 Robinson St. North Tonawanda.
    The bride was attired in an

    A-line gown of delustered satin
    featuring Alencon lace on the
    bodice and sleeves and at the
    hemline. The matching cathedral
    length train edged in lace was
    attached at the neckline. Her
    triple-tiered silk illusion veil was
    caught to a crown of seed
    pearls and lace. She carried car-
    nations and stephanotis.
    Mrs. Peter Koelemeyer, ma-
    tron of honor, wore a gown of
    agua organza over taffeta with
    a floating back panel. She wore
    a rosette headpiece of matching
    material and carried a basket of
    white chrysanthemums and pink
    rosebuds.
    In identical attire were Miss
    Constance Giovino, maid of hon-
    or; Mrs. Vincent Bieter and Mrs.
    R. Dean Hall, bridesmaids and
    Kelly Ann Beiter, flower girl.
    Thomas Berhalter attended the
    bridegroom as best man. Ushers
    were Jack Kearly, James Silvag-
    gi and Peter Koelemeyer. Peter
    Koelemeyer Jr. was ring bear-
    er.
    The mother of the bride wore
    a strawberry pink A-line en-
    semble. Mrs. Berhalter chose an
    agua wool knit two-piece suit.
    Both wore corsages of white gla-
    mellias.
    A reception was given in the
    Connecticut Street Armory in the
    Empire Room.
    After a motor trip through
    the New England states the cou-
    ple will be at home Sept. 1 in
    77 Seymour St., Tonawanda.
    Mr. Berhalter is a teacher at
    Mullen School and his wife
    teaches at Riverview School, in
    the Tonawanda School system.

    Robinson street, who died in the
    DeGraff Memorial hospital Friday

    at 9 o'clock from the Ascension

    Mt. Olivet cemetery.
    Mrs. Berhalter was a lifelong
