was a retired employee of Harrison
Radiator of Lockport, NY. A Navy
veteran of the Korean Conflict, Mr
Berhalter was a member of Stephen
Sikora Cost 1322, American Legion,
AmVets Post 26 and founder and
former president of the Reparation
Society of Our Lady of Fatima,
Lewiston. N. Y
Beloved husband of Jane M (nee
Griffin) Berhalter. dearest father of
Bryan, Susan. Art and Robert
Berhalter dear brother of Mrs
Margaret Mary Glaser, also sur
vived by several nieces, nephews
and cousins
The family will be present to
receive relatives and friends from
2- 4 and 7 9 p m at the Saber
Skomski Funeral Home. 549 Oliver
st North Tonawanda where funeral
services will be held on Wednesday
at 9 30 a m followed by a Mass of
Christian Burial at St Albert the
Great Church at 10 a m Interment
Acacia Park Cemetery.

Richard married GRIFFIN, Jane Marie in May 1954. Jane (daughter of GRIFFIN, Thomas Joseph) was born on 9 Aug 1929; died on 29 Nov 2018 in North Tonawanda, Niagara County, NY. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]

Jane M Berhalter (Griffin), age 89, passed away November 29th 2018, peacefully at home with her family. She was the wife of the late Richard J Berhalter. She is survived by her children; Bryan (Sylvia Schneider), Susan, Arthur (Laurene), Robert (Michelle). Grandmother to: Brenna, Malayna, Bella, Cole, Martin, and Benjamin Berhalter. Daughter of the late Arthur and Margaret Benjamin. Sister of Charles and Kathleen Benjamin. Jane worked at the DeGraff Adult Day Care Center (Ralph C. Wilson) for over 20 years. She was loved by all who knew her.
No prior visitation. Friends are invited to a Mass of Christian Burial on Saturday December 22, 2018 at Our Lady of Czestochowa 64 Center St North Tonawanda NY at 9:30 am

PLANS MAY WEDDING: Arthur Charles Benjamin announces
the engagement of his niece, Jane Marie Griffin, daughter of
the late Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Joseph Griffin to Richard John
Berhalter, son of Mrs. and the late John J. Berhalter. Miss Griffin
is a graduate of the Sacred Heart Cathedral High, Richmond,
Va. Mr. Berhalter, a graduate of North Tonawanda High
School, is now serving in the U. S. Navy in Newfoundland. The
wedding will take place in May.

NORTH TONAWANDA, Feb. 18-
John J. Berhalter. 55, of 312 Shartle
place, a life-long North Tonawanda
resident and prominent for many
years in the lumber trade, died
Sunday night in DeGraff Me-
morial hospital.
Mr. Berhalter entered the lumber
business with the Silverthorne
Lumber company, and later established
and operated his own yard,
the Standard Lumber company.
River road, from 1917 until 1929.
In recent years he has been a salesman
for the Meyers Lumber company.
Survivors Include his wife. Mrs.
Lillian Berhalter: two children, Mrs.
Joseph Glaser. of Tonawanda. and
Richard J. Berhalter. of North
Tonawanda: his mother. Mrs. Margaret
Berhalter, of North Tonawanda.
a sister and fqur brothers.
Funeral services will be held at
8:30 a. m. Thursday from the family
home and at Ascension church
at 9 a m., the Rev. Francis Hunt
officiating.

Mrs. Lillian M. Berhalter, 69,
of 815 Ruie Rd., a retired registered
nurse, died Thursday
(March 24, 1960) in DeGraff
Memorial Hospital after a
lengthy illness.
Born in Limestone, N.Y.,
Mrs. Berhalter lived in this
city for the last 32 years. She
was a graduate of Sisters of
Charity Hospital, Buffalo, and
practiced pricate general
nursing and later worked at
DeGraff Hospital for eight
years prior to her illness.
She was a member of St.
Joseph's Church and of the
Ladies of Charity of Ascension
Church. Her husband,
John J. Berhalter, died in
1947.
Surviving .are a son, Richard
J. Berhalter, this city; a
step-daughter, Mrs. Joseph J.
Glaser, Town of Tonawanda;
a sister, Mrs. Paul Tolin, Elizabeth,
N.J.; three brothers,
Harry J. Frohnappal, Bradford,
Pa., Francis M. Frohnappal,
Redlands, Calif., and William
J. Frohnappal, Limestone;
and four grandchildren.
Prayers will be said at 9:30
a.m. Monday at the Roth Funeral
Home, followed by a
Requiem Mass at 10 a.m. at
St. Joseph's Church. Burial
will be in Mt. Olivet Cemetery.
