Services for Walter K. Ferchen, a native of Wheatfield, will be conducted at 2 P.M. Saturday at the DuBois Funeral Home, 2436 Niagara Road, Bergholz. Burial will be in Mount View Cemetery, Pekin.
Ferchen, 74, died Wednesday (Aug. 23, 1989) in Marietta, Ga., where he lived for the last 21/2 years.
He lived in Wheatfield until 1967, when he moved to Oakfield, NY
He worked at the former Zimmerman Builders Supplies in Wheatfield, was a former member of St. James Lutheran Church of Bergholz and was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.
Survivors include his wife, the former Margaret Willard of Georgia; two sons, Stephen of Elba, and Randy of Cincinnati; two daughters, Barbara Robinson of Marietta, Ga., and Andrea Austin of Byron; a brother, Fremont Ferchen of Bergholz; five sisters, Mildred Gensler of Florida, Esther Thiemecke of North Tonawanda Gladys Clayton of Canada, Edna Zimmerman and Frances Wienke; seven grandchildren, and a great-grandchild.

Walter married WILLARD, Margaret Ann on 20 Nov 1948. Margaret (daughter of WILLARD, Howard and RATKAY, Anna Dell) was born on 28 Aug 1920 in Oakland, Alameda County, CA; died on 17 Nov 1993 in Marietta, Cobb County, GA. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]

Funeral services for former Niagara Falls resident Margaret A. Ferchen will be held at 11 A.M. Saturday in DuBois Funeral Home, 2436 Niagara Road, Bergholz. Burial will be in Mount View Cemetery, Pekin.
Mrs. Ferchen, 73, died Wednesday (Nov. 17, 1993) at her home in Marietta, Ga.
A native of Oakland, Calif., the former Margaret A. Willard came to Niagara Falls with her family as an an infant. She had lived in Marietta since 1987.
She was a former member of St. James Lutheran Church, Bergholz.
Her husband, Walter K., died in 1989.
Surviving are two daughters, Barbara Robinson of Marietta and Andrea Austin of Byron; two sons, Stephen of Elba and Randy of Cincinnati; a brother, Howard Willard; three sisters, Dorothy Lundy of Cohoes, Norma Siford and Ruth Downey; eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren

Interment in St. James Lutheran Cemetery. He was a life long resident of the Town of Wheatfield. He was a member of St. James Evangelical Lutheran Church.

died April 9, 1963 at the Niagara Falls Memorial Hospital after a brief illness. She is the wife of the late John F. Ferchen who died June 2, 1958. Survivors are 6 daughters, Mrs. Grover Ziehm, Mrs. Rudolph Zimmerman, Mrs. Alfred Gensler, Mrs. Walter Thiemecke, all of the Town of Wheatfield, Mrs. Walter Wienke of Sanborn and Mrs. William Clayton of Ft. Erie, Ontario, 3 sons, Hubert, Walter and Fremont, all of the Town of Wheatfield. Also surviving are 22 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. Friends may call at the Fretthold Funeral Home, 1241 Oliver St. at Ward Rd. North Tonawanda, where services will be held Friday at 1:45 and in St. James Lutheran Church, Bergholtz at 2:30. The Rev. Robert Lehman will officiate. Interment in St. James Lutheran Cemetery. Mrs. Ferchen was a member of St. James Lutheran Church.
