    Notes:

    Catherine Loiars Revell passed on in Granada Hills, California on April 28, 2019. Born November 27, 1934 in Lockport, the daughter of Joseph and Emma Loiars who precedeased her.
    She graduated June 1953 from Lockport High School.
    Survived by her daughter, Coleen Bernie; granddaughter, Alexia Lyons of L.A.; and nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her siblings, Volenta Loiars, Mary Rose Ackerman, John Loiars, Joseph Loiars and Frank R. Loiars; and her son, Michael McCowan
    A memorial at Cold Springs Cemetery was held August 23, 2019 with Father Joe from St. John's R.C. Church at the gravesite.

    Miss Catherine Loiars chose a
    floor-length gown of white nylon
    eyelet for her marriage to Cpl
    Michael A. McCowan Saturday
    noon at the First English Luther-
    an Church. The Rev. Ivan L.
    Lange officiated at the ceremony.
    The bride's gown ofnylon eyelet
    over taffeta was fashioned with a
    three-tiered skirt, fitted nodice
    with cape sleeves and V-neck, set
    off by a double strand of pearls.
    A scalloped crown held her veil of
    nylon tulle and she carried a bou-
    quet of white roses and white tiger
    lilies.
    MAID'S GOWN

    Miss Anne DeMillo was maid of
    honor wearing a ballerina-length
    gown of white nylon net over pale
    blue taffeta, the skirt falling in
    four tiers. Her headdress was a
    scalloped crown of matching net
    and she carried pink roses and
    pink tiger lilies.
    Cpl. William D'Alsandro sta-
    tioned at Shawnee Air Base was
    the bridegroom's attendant.
    The bride's parents are Mr. and
    Mrs. Joseph Loiars of 139 Van
    Buren St. and the bridegroom is
    the son of Mr. and Mrs. N. Cipri-
    ano of Van Nuys, Calif.
    For her daughter's wedding
    Mrs. Loiars chose a dress of navy
    and white with matching acces-
    sories.
    WEDDING DINNER
    A dinner was served to the bri-
    dal party and immediate family
    at the Hotel Lox Plaza.
    Following the dinner the couple
    left for a short wedding trip to
    Canada, the bride wearing a sea-
    blue suit with white accessories
    and a corsage of red roses. They
    will make their home in St. Louis,
    Mo., where the bridegroom is sta-
    tioned for seven months to attend
    advance radar school.
    The bride is a graduate of Lock-
    port High School and the bride-
    groom of the Van Nuys High
    School in California. He returned
    to this country in January from
    duty in Korea with the U. S. Air
    Force.

    He is survived by his wife
    Emma (nee Schratz). Two daughters
    and one son, Mrs. Arthur
    Ackerman, Hartland; Frank R.
    Loiars. Lockport; and Mrs. Michael
    McCowan. Grenada Hills.
    Calif. One step-son Perry Beardsley,
    Lockport. Six grandchildren.
    Funeral services will be held
    Wednesday morning at 8:30 A. M.
    from The Gaul Funeral Home
    Inc., 263 East Ave. and 9:00 A.M.
    from St. Joseph's Church. Interment
    will be in St. Patrick's Cemetery.

    LOCKPORT-Emma C. Loiars, 74, formerly of 139
    Van Buren St., died today (May 17, 1969) at Lockport
    Memorial Hospital after a long illness. She had been a
    patient at the Hilltop Nursing Home at-GasportJar the
    last year.
    A native of Brazil, Ind., she
    was born Sept. 13, 1894, the
    daughter of John and Catherine
    Dues Schratz.
    A homemaker, she was the
    widow of Joseph Loiars who
    died in 1958. She was a member
    of St. Joseph's Church.
    She is survived by two daughters,
    Mrs. Arthur (Mary Rose)
    Ackerman of Barker and Mrs.
    Michael (Catherine) McCowan
    of Granada Hills, Calif., two
    sons, Frank R. Loiars and
    Perry Beardsley, both of Lock-
    port; 10 grandchildren and a
    brother Frank Schratz of Po-
    cahontas, Ark.
    Friends may call from 2 to 4
    p.m. and from 7 to 9 p.m. at the
    Gaul Funeral Home, Inc., where
    the Rosary will be recited at 8
    p.m. Monday. Services will be
    held at the funeral home at 9
    a.m. Tuesday. A Requiem Mass
    will be held at 9:30 a.m. at St.
    Joseph's Church.
    Burial will be in St. Patrick's
    Cemetery.
