The marriage of Miss Patricia
Kelly, daughter of Mr. and Mrs.
Earl Kelly, to Mr. John B. Berthot,
son of Mr. John A. Berthot, was
solemnised at Sacred' Heart church
Saturday morning. The Rev.
Francis Swarts officiated at the
ceremony.
The couple exchanged marriage
vows at the altar, which was decorated
with tall vases, of gladioli
and fern.
The bride, who was given in mar-
riage by her father, wore a gown
of ivory satin, fashioned with an
illusion neckline and fitted bodice
and long fitted sleeves. The full
skirt, with a bustle back effect,
fell into a cathedral length train.
A crown of orange blossoms held
her veil of illusion. She carried a
bouquet of white roses. Miss Betty
Hindel, the bride's only attendant,
was maid of honor.
Pvt. Donald Berthot, .Quantico,
Va., was his brother's best man.
The wedding breakfast was served
at the home of Mr. and Mrs.
William Mellan. A reception was
held from 2 until 6 pan. at the
home of the bride's parents.
For traveling the bride wore a
green . suit with pink accessories.
After a brief wedding trip Mr. and
Mrs.Berthot will reside In Michigan
avenue.

Jack A. Berthot, 80, of 1330
Linwood Ave., a long-time resident
of this city, died Friday (Jan. 17,
1958) at.his home after a short
illness.-
Born in Germantown, Pa., Mr.
Beprhot had lived in this city for
51 years. For 25 years he was a
foreman at the National Carbon
Co., retiring. 14 years ago.
He was a member of, the Old
Timers Club of the National Carbon
Co. and the Holy Name
Society of Sacred Heart Church.
Surviyors include seven sons,
Edward P.. Joseph F., Jerry H„
John B. and Richard. C. Berthot,
all of" this city; Earl H. Berthot,
Seattle, Wash., and Donald. A.
Berthot, serving with the Marine
Corps at Barstow, Calif.; three
daughters, Mrs. William C, Wheeler,
Mrs; Ralph Blaine and Miss
Leona M. Berthot, all'of this city.
,Also four sisters and a brother,
Mrs. Amos Sirgey, and Miss Stella
Berthot, this city; Mrs. Joseph,
McDermott, Mrs. Regina Spangler
and Urban Berthot,. of Clearfield,
Pa.; 17 grandchildren and three
great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at
9 a.m. Tuesday at the Redanz
Funeral Home and at 9:30 at
Sacred Heart Church. Burial will
be in Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
