    BRADENTON, FL — Joseph Clarence Patterson, Sr., 79, of Bradenton, FL, formerly of Lewiston, NY, passed away June 6, 2013. He was born October 19, 1933 in Niagara Falls, NY to parents Clarence Patterson and Anna Bailys.

    Joe was predeceased by one sister, Lorraine Zajaczkowski and one daughter, Joanne Jeckovich. Joe is survived by his former wife, Dorothy Patterson and daughter, Virginia (Jerry) Keller, Bradenton; life-long companion of 40 years, Betty Winters; two sons, Kevin P. Patterson and Joseph C. Patterson, Jr.; seven grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

    Joe was a Korean War veteran who was honorably discharged from the United States Army, member of Moose Lodge 1072 (Bradenton),Fraternal Order of Eagles #4424 (Bradenton) and Disabled American Veterans. Joe was also an avid New York Yankees fan and avid pool player. He retired in 1978.

    Memorial services will be held from the Chapel at Manasota Memorial Park and Funeral Home on Monday, June 10, 2013, at 10:00 AM. (941)755-2688

    Dorothy M. "Dottie" Patterson, age 76, born on October 15, 1937 in Niagara Falls, NY, died on November 19, 2013 in Bradenton, FL.
    Dottie has two daughters, Virginia Keller of Bradenton, Joanne Jeckovich (deceased); three grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
    Dottie will be laid to rest at the Skyway Memorial Gardens on November 29th at a private service. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Humane Society of Manatee County (www.humanemanatee.org.)

    Funeral services for Frank Balys,

    Sr., 66, of Military road, Lewiston,
    will be conducted at 10 a.m. Tuesday
    at St. Michael's Archangel
    church after 9:15 o'clock urvices at
    the Chester G. Tubinis Funeral
    home.
    Balys, a resident of Lewiston for
    the last 32 years, died at his home
    yesterday. He operated a farm at
    Lewiston for a number of years
    and- had been employed for 29
    years by the New York Certtral railroad.
    He had been in ill health for
    about six months and wis in retirement
    al the time of his illness.
    A native of Poland Mr. Balys was
    a member of the Polish National
    Union of America, Chapter 192. He
    was also a member of the Boilermakers'
    union here.
    He is survived by two sons,
    Joseph and Frank Balys, Jr., Lewis-
    ton; three daughters, Mrs. Josephine
    Blazenski, Lewisston, and Mrs. Stells
    Micon and Mrs. Jane Kogut, this
    city. He also is survived by 11 grand-
    children and three great-grandchild-
    ren.
    Burial will be in Riverdale
    cemetery.

    Rev. E. Marsh, pastor of the Blessed
    Hope Church of God performed the
    ceremony at the latter's home in Elmwood
    avenue. Mr. and Mrs. Patterson
    will.make their future home In Sanborn.
