    Wilfred K. Beutel, age 76 of Wheatfield, NY, was called to his heavenly home, to be with our Lord and Savior, on March 25, 2022 at his residence. Born in the Town of Wheatfield on May 25, 1945; son of the late Walter and Nora (Walck) Beutel. Wilfred served in the United States Army, during the Viet Nam war. A member of Holy Ghost Lutheran Church; he was an active lifetime member of the American Legion - Wheatfield Post 1451, where he served as past Commander for several years. Wilfred was also a member of the Eagles, and Moose in North Tonawanda.He enjoyed playing Euchre, golfing, fishing and hunting.Survivors include his loving wife, Pamela (Bentley) Beutel. They were united in marriage on August 14, 2008; two sons, Michael (Kirsty) Beutel of Huntsville, AL, the Rev. Dr. Greg (Kim) Beutel of Forth Worth, TX; two step-children, Kristy (Jacob) LaRock of Wheatfield, and Harold (Mary) Chapman of Niagara Falls; a sister, Marilyn (Otto) Scheifer of FL, sister-in-law, Linda Beutel of FL; and eight grandchildren, Nikki, Megan, Matthew, Callum, Kaitlyn, Sophia, Ethan, and Vincent. Preceded in death by a brother, Gerald Beutel.Friends may call at the DuBois Funeral Home, 2436 Niagara Road, (Bergholz) in Wheatfield, on Monday (March 28) from 3-7 p.m. Services will be conducted by the Rev. Denton White, on Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. in Holy Ghost Lutheran Church, corner of Niagara Road and Luther Street, in Bergholz. Interment with military honors will follow in the church cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to Niagara Hospice.

    BERGHOLTZ, Oct, 27.-A. pretty
    wedding was solemnized In the Holy
    Ghost church Sunday afternoon
    when Miss Nora Walck, only daugh-
    ter of Mr. and Mrs. William Walck,
    of the Ward road, was united in mar-
    riage to Walter Beutel, son of Mrs.
    Amalta Beutel, of the Lockport road.
    Promptly at 3 o'clock, to the strains
    of Lohengrin's wedding march, play-
    ed by Hugo Gade, organist and teach-
    er, the bridal party walked up the
    aisle of the church, which was filled
    to capacity with friends and rela-
    tlves of the young couple. The altar
    was artistically decorated with palms.
    before the altar an arch, decorat-
    ed with flowers now in season and
    smilax, was fastened to the floor
    where two low white gates were opened
    by the ushers just before the
    bridal party entered. The gates,
    which were also decorated with small
    flowers and smilax, were closed when
    the bridal party arrived at the altar.
    Tho ushers were Gertrude Jagow,
    cousin of the groom, and Vera Strassburg,
    cousin of the bride. They were
    dresed alike in silk cruz blue crepe
    dresses, head band, ear drops, necklace,
    nose and slippers to match.
    They wore a shoulder bouquet of pink
    and white roses and smilax tied with
    a narrow silver ribbon.
    Tho bride, who presented a pretty
    picture, was given in marriage by
    her : father. She wore a gown of
    white bridal satin. It was made on
    fitted lines and had a short train,
    puffed sleeves and lace jacket and
    lace sleeves below the puffs, which
    came to a point. Her veil of° tulle
    was trimmed with Chantllly lace border
    and the long train edge had a
    wide Chantllly lace trimming. It was
    arranged in cap shape with clusters
    of orange blossoms on either side and
    had pearly trimming and shirring in
    front and across the cap. She carried
    a large old fashioned bouquet of
    white roses, baby's breath and. smilax
    tied with white tulle and narrow
    white satin. streamers, which had
    small white rose buds tied in. She
    wore a string of pearls and white
    hose and white satin brocaded crepe
    slippers.
    The maid of honor, Miss Amelia
    Stra&sburg, cousin of the bride, looked
    charming in a yellow taffeta dress.
    It was made with fitted lines with
    ruffles touching the floor and had
    pale green hand-made roses of taf-
    feta, across the shoulders. With this
    she wore a yellow tulle head band,
    a crystal necklace, a gift of the bride,
    and yellow hose and yellow satin
    brocaded crepe shoes, and carries a
    bouquet of yellow baby chrysanthe-
    mums, baby's breath and smilaz, tied
    with yellow tulle.
    The bridesmaids. Miss Esther Haseley,
    an intimate friend of the bride,
    and Lillian Retzlaff, cousin of the
    bride, were dressed alike and looked
    charming In pink taffeta gown, which
    were made similar to the maid of
    honor's. The gowns had light blue
    hand made roses of taffeta trimming
    across the. shoulder. They both wore
    a pink tulle head band, crystal necklaces,
    gifts of the bride, pink hose
    and slippers of pink satin brocaded
    crepe. They both carried a large
    bouquet of pink roses, pink chrysanthemums,
    blue bachelor buttons and
    smtjax, tied with pink tulle.
    Ervin Beutel, brother of the groom,
    acted as best man. Ralph and Edward
    Walck, brothers of the bride,
    assisted during the ceremony, the
    latter acting as train bearer and also
    took charge of the bride's bouquet
    during the ceremony.
    The double ring service was used.
    Benediction followed the ceremony.
    The Rev. J. Kuchenbecker officiated.
    After the service a reception was held
    at the home of the bride's parents
    for about 60 guests. The guests were
    received by Mrs. Walck, the bride's
    mother, who was dressed In midnight
    blue triple sheer georgette
    gown with tan trimming, and Mrs.
    Beutel wore a black silk crepe gown
    trimmed with black silk lace.
    The bride's table, which was centered
    with a three-tiered wedding
    cake with miniature bride and groom
    and bouquets of pink and white roses,
    was set for 20 guests. The other
    table also had a large wedding cake
    and roses as a centerpiece.
    After a short wedding trip the
    bride and groom wll lreslde on the
    Ward road. They received many
    handsome gifts A number of pre-
    nuptial affairs were given in their
    honor.

Charter member of the American Legion Wheatfield Post 1451 and member of the Bergholz Fire Company. He was employed at the former Wurlitzer Company in North Tonawanda and Chevrolet Plant in Tonawanda. Survivors include his wife Lucille D. (DiMarco) Mante. They were married September 27, 1947; son, Robert Mante; daughter, Sharon (Samuel) Chambos all of Bergholz; a sister, Beulah Haag of Wheatfield; five grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and one niece. Friends may call at the DuBois FUNERAL HOME, 2436 Niagara Road (Bergholz) in Wheatfield on Monday, November 8 from 2-4 and 6:30-8:30 P.M., where services will be conducted at 8:30 P.M. following visitation. Interment in Holy Ghost Lutheran Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Roswell Park Cancer Institution.

    Lucille D. Mante (DiMarco), age 79, of Bergholz, was called to her heavenly home on Tuesday, December 2, 2008 while at the Crestwood Health Care Facility, after a lengthy illness. Born in Buffalo, Erie County, NY on March 21, 1929 to the late Pasquiale and Carmela (Colangelo) DiMarco. She was united in marriage to the late David R. Mante on September 27, 1947, who died November 4, 2004. Lucille was a member of Holy Ghost Lutheran Church in Bergholz and a former member of the Bergholz Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary.Survivors include two children, Robert Mante and Sharon (Samuel) Chambos, both of Wheatfield; a sister, Therese Gena-Setticase of Syracuse; five grandchildren, six great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was also predeceased by two sisters, Connie Sileo and Delores Nasca.Friends may call at the DUBOIS FUNERAL HOME, 2436 Niagara Road, (Bergholz) in Wheatfield on Thursday from 2-4 and 6-7:30 PM.     Sanborn. June 10. - Hanging to a beam in his barn, by a piece of clothesline, the body of William Beutel was found about two o'clock yesterday afternoon by the dead man's youngest son, and when the nearest neighbors - summoned by tho terrified youngster - had arrived, the body was still warm, but all attempts at resuscitation failed. Beutel was about 45 years old and resided with his family, on the Lockport road, near Walmore. He had been confined in the Buffalo State hospital on two different occasions, but since his return home two years ago, his mental condition has appeared normal. Mrs. Beutel and her oldest son were in Niagara Falls when the deed was committed. Deceased is survived by his wife and four sons - Edward, Rudolph, Walter, and Erwin - all of the town of Lewiston; one brother, John Beutel of Cambria, and one sister, Mrs. William Wendt of Sanborn, He was a lifelong resident of this township and was a member of the Walmore Lutheran church.

    William A. Walck, 78, of Ward

    retired farmer, died today
    (Jan. 7, 1959) after a long illness.
    He was a life-long resident
    of Wheatfield and a member
    of Holy Ghost Church, Bergholtz.
    He is survived by his wife,
    Mildred Amis Walck; a daughter,
    Mrs. Walter Beutel, and
    two sons, Edward and Ralph
    Walck, all of Town of Wheatfield.
    Two brothers, Gottald
    Walck, of Niagara Falls, and
    Albert Walck, and a sister,
    Mrs. Ella Mavis, both of the
    Town of Wheatfield, 11 grandchildren
    and one great grandchild

    The Rev. John Jaeger will
    conduct the funeral service at
    2 p. m. Friday at the Fretthold
    Funeral Home. Burial will be

    NORTH TONAWANDA - Reinhard C. Mante, 69, of 2509 Washington St., Bergholtz, died unexpectedly Saturday (April 25, 1970) at Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center. A lifelong resident of Bergholtz, Mr. Mante was a member of Holy Ghost Lutheran Church, the Lutheran Laymen's League and a charter member of the First Volunteer Fire Co. of Bergholtz. He was employed by the Wurlitzer Co. for 50 years and had planned to retire' next week. He is survived by a son, David .R. Mante, and a daughter Mrs. Admiral (Beulah) Haag, both of the Town of Wheatfield; two brothers, Edwin Mante of North Tonawanda and Martin Mante of the Town of Wheatfield; two sisters, Mrs. Arnold Wollenbergof North Tonawanda and Mrs. Herbert Wilson of the Town of Wheatfield; three grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:30-p.m. Wednesday at the Fretthold Funeral Home, with the Rev. Albert Bahr officiating. Burial will be in Holy Ghost Lutheran Cemetery.
