    e n g a g e m e n t of Mrs.
    Bewley's daughter, Miss
    Marilyn Symes of Lockport
    to Frank Joseph Koch Jr.,
    of 1764 Yorktown, Cincinnatti,
    Ohio. He is the son
    of Mr. and Mrs. F r a nk
    Joseph Koch of 641 Deerwood,
    Talmadge, Ohio. The
    future bride is also the
    daughter of the late John
    T. Syme.s Jr.
    Miss Symes is a senior
    at William Smith College,
    Geneva.
    Her fiance, a graduate of
    Clarkson C o l l e g e of
    Technology at Potsdam, ts
    a product engineer with
    Proctor and Gamble, Cincinnati.
    A wedding in June of 1972
    is being planned.

    The wedding of Miss
    Marilyn Symes of Lockport
    and Frank Joseph Koch Jr.,
    C i n c i n n a t i , Ohio, was
    performed Saturday afternoon
    at Christ Episcopal
    Church, Lockport. The Rev.
    Robert E. Eggenschiller
    officiated.
    United were the aughter
    of Mrs. George W. Bewley,
    552 Locust St., Lockport,
    and the late John T. Symes
    Jr., and son of Lt. Cmdr.
    and Mrs. Frank Joseph
    Koch, (USN Ret.).
    Arrangements of white
    flowers flanked the altar
    w h e n the bride was
    presented in marriage by
    her brother, C. William
    Symes.
    The bride wore a white
    organza and beaded Alencon
    lace gown. It had deep
    throated lace appliqued on
    an illusion yoked bodice,
    long bishop sleeves terminating
    fitted cuffs of
    detailed lace and a full
    flared floor - length skirt.
    Her chapel - length illusion
    mantilla was edged by
    s c u l p t u r e d lace and
    enhanced with scattered
    lace appliques.
    Arranged in the bridal
    bouquet were phalonopsus
    orchids, stephanotis, baby's
    breath, orange blossoms
    and ivy.
    Miss Jean Symes, sister
    of the bride, was maid of
    honor. She favored a mint
    and blue printed chifion
    over mint gown. It was
    created with bishop sleeves,
    a high rise bodice and floor
    - length modified A - line
    silhouette. She added a mint
    green picture hat and
    carried a matching parasol.
    In identical attire were
    bridesmaids, Miss Susan
    Stark of Lockport; Miss
    Jackie Koch of Tallmadge,
    O h i o , sister of the
    bridegroom; and Miss Lily
    Leung, New York City.
    John Krause of Kent,
    Ohio, served as best man.
    Ushering duties were
    performed by George Koch
    of Tallmadge, the groom's
    brother; Fred Millard of
    Robbinsville, N . J . and
    Ronald Steve of Mt. Iron,
    Minn.
    Organist for the 3 p.m.
    nuptial was Mrs. Leo
    Donahue and soloist, Mrs.
    William Johnson.
    A reception was held at
    Lockport Town and Country
    Club.
    After a wedding trip to.
    Montreal, Que., the
    newlyweds will be making
    their home at 1020 Valley
    Lane, Cincinnati, Ohio.
    The bride is a recent
    graduate of William Smith
    College at Geneva. The
    groom, a 1969 graduate of
    C 1 a r k s o n College of
    Technology, is employed as
    technical brand manager of
    Procter and Gamble, Cincinnati.
