Last rites for William J. Oertel,
53. of 23 West Pleasant Avenue,
plant supervisor for the C. B.
Bradley & Son Manufacturing
Company, who died Tuesday, will
be conducted at 2 P.M. Friday at.
Lafayette A v e n u e Methodist
Church of which he had been a
trustee for several years.
He was born in Syracu.se, the
son of Dr. William D. and Matilda
Michael Oertel. He was employed
by the H. H. Franklin Company
for 10 years and was superintendent
of San-Equip, Inc., for 16 years.
Mr. Oertel was a member of the
Kiwanis Club, past president of the
Men's Class of Lafayette Avenue
Methodist Church, a member of the
Chamber of Commerce and of the
I.OO.F. He was a post warden in
Sector 14.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs.
Lottie Biddle Oertel; two son. Robert
W. and William J. Oertel, Jr.;
a daughter, Miss Janice L. Oertel;
a brother. Dr. George D. Oertel; a
sister, Mrs. Frank Rocco of Minetto,
and two grandchildren. Judith
E. and R. David Oertel. A
prayer service will be conducted
at 11 A.M. Friday at the home.
