SEARLE - Mrs. Edith Biddle
Searle, 87, of 608 West Brighton
avenue, Syracuse, a native of Birmingham,
England, died August 11,
1964, in S t Joseph's hospital, Syracuse,
of a heart ailment. She was the
widow of Arthur Searle, who died in
1958. Mrs. Searle was a member of
Grace Episcopal Church, Baldwinswille.
Surviving are five daughters,
Mrs. Loretta Green and Mrs. Dorothy
Naylor of Syracuse, Mrs. Marion
Baker, Mrs. Edith Sochla and Mrs.
Evelyn Chilson of Baldwinsville;
three sons, David, Ernest and Arthur
Searle of Baldwinsville; a sister,
Mrs. Lottie Oertel; 14 grandchildren
and 36 great grandchildren. Funeral
services will be at 11 a. m. this
Thursday in Grace Episcopal Church,
the Rev. George Dawson officiating.
Interment will be in Riverview cemetery,
Baldwinsville.

James Biddle-James Biddle, 80,
a native of England, died yesterday
at his home, 335 Cortland av. He
had resided in Syracuse 40 years.
Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Ellen
Biddle; three daughters, Mrs. A. R.
Searle of Baldwinsville and Mrs. R.
E. Archer and Mrs. W. J. Oertel of
Syracuse; a son, E. J. Biddle of
Ovid; 18 grandchildren and six
jgreat-grandchildren. Funeral tomor-
row at 2:30 p.m. with burial in
Woodlawn.
