Supreme court continued over to
this week. A jury in the case of Lillian
J. Billings against Elijah Billings
of Castile an action for absolute divorce
was obtained late Wednesday
afternoon of last week and the case
was given to the jury on Friday afternoon.
The defendant in this case
brought a counter charge against the
plaintiff of the same charge which
the plaintiff charged the defendant
being guilty of. After due consideration
the jury found that both parties
-were: guilty of the same charge and
in such a case no verdict could be
given either parties. This decision
will prevent either the plaintiff or
the defendant securing a divorce at
any future time.
