The death of Harry Niles Billings
occured Tuesday a t the home of his
parents,. after an ilmess of over six
months. He was .born May 10,1897,
and-.was .the eldest son of .Mr.: and^Mrs.
George Billings. He spent his short
life in this village.
Besides his parents, he leaves one
brother, Clifford, and. four sisters,
Mearl, Pearl, Hazel and Mrs.Ida Morgan.
Funeral services were held from the
late home at two o'clock, Thursday,
Revirp. W. Hemlnway officiating, assisted
by Rev. Allan MacQueen. Interment
in the Christian cemetery

George Billings, born April 24,
1870, died suddenly at his home In
Castile village Saturday, March 8,
1947. He was born In Castile and
was a life long resident. In 1893
he was united In marriage to Etta
May Toles, of Mt. Morris. Nine
children were born of this union,
four preceding him in death.
Funeral services were conducted at
the Aldrlch Funeral Home in Sliver
Springs by Rev. Charles Cossaboon
on Tuesday. His remains were
brought to Oastlle and laid In tho
vault at Grace Cemetery for burial
at a later date.
Surviving are his wife and five
children, Mrs. Ida Morgan of Warsaw,
Mrs. Mearl Billings of Dalton,
Mrs. Pearl Kader of Wethersfleld
Springs, Mrs. Hazel Griswokl of
Hornell and Clifford Billings of Buffalo;
four brothers, Edward of Lamont,
Elijah of Hornell, Ruben and
Joe of Castile; two sisters, Mrs.
Nellie Wolfer of. Friendship and Mrs.
Mildred Bemus of Wellsvllle, Pa.;
twolvo grandchildren and five great
grandchildren.

George married TOLES, Etta May about 1893. Etta was born in Apr 1874 in New York; died on 18 Feb 1950 in Warsaw, Wyoming County, NY. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]

Mrs. Etta Billings, 76, widow of
George Billings, died Feb. 18,
1950, at the Wyoming County
Community hospital, Warsaw, after
a short illness. Mrs. Billings
was born in Mt. MJprris and had
spent most of her life in Castile.
She is survived by four daughters,
Mrs. Ida Morgan of Warsaw,
Mrs. Merrill Billings of Dalton,
Mrs. Pearl Kader of Wethersfield,
Mrs. Hazel Groswold of Hornell;
a son, Clifford Billings of Corfu;
a sister, Mrs. Mattie Scherman of
Northville, Mich.; 13 grandchil-
dren, five great-grandchildren,
and several nices and nephews.
Services were held from the
Harmon Funeral Home, Castile,
Feb. 21 with Rev. Donald Perkins
officiating. Burial was in Hope
cemetery, Castile.
