    NIAGARA FALLS — Bruce Allen Carter, 63, of Niagara Falls, NY, died unexpectedly on Friday, July 19, 2013 in N.F. Memorial Medical Center. Born in Niagara Falls, NY, he was the son of the late Johnnie May and Margaret E. (Bierley) Carter.

    Bruce was a lifelong resident of Niagara Falls, NY, and attended local schools. During the Vietnam War he served in the U.S. Army and throughout his lifetime was proud of being a Vietnam veteran. During the 1970s, he designed and worked on toys at the Fisher Price Toy Co. in Buffalo, NY. Bruce had a very special way of helping others in his own special way.

    Bruce is survived by two sons, Jason (Christina) Carter of Niagara Falls, NY and John Carter of Lockport, NY; five grandchildren, Kayla, Julien, Joshua, Savannah and Julienna; seven siblings Christopher, Ted, Mattie, John, Billy Carter, Delphia Rocko and Judith Piche; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by one sister, Peggy Mackie.

    Visitation will be on Friday, July 26, 2013, from 11 AM to 12 Noon at M.J. COLUCCI & SON FUNERAL CHAPEL, 468-19th Street, Niagara Falls, NY, where memorial services will follow at 12 Noon. Interment with military honors in Oakwood Cemetery will be held at the convenience of the family. Memorial donations may be made to Niagara Gospel Rescue Mission, 1023 Ferry Avenue, Niagara Falls, NY 14301.

    Gridley Funeral Home Thursday

    Cemetery.
    Friends may call at the funeral
    home from 2 to 5 and
    7 to 9 p.m.
