    Mrs. Isabelle Bills Bench of 56
    Grant Avenue, widow of Roy C.
    Bench, died early this morning
    at her home. She had been ill for
    several months. Mrs. Bench was
    born in Auburn and had lived
    here all her life. She was a member
    of the Central Church of
    Christ Disciples.
    Surviving are five daughters.
    Mrs. Stuart S. MacKay, Mrs.
    Thomas W. Moseley, Mrs. John
    C. Carmody, Mrs. Holmes D. Sullivan,
    Mrs. George P. Dlehl, Jr.:
    two sons, Walter I., and Leigh
    R Bench, all of Auburn; a sister,
    Mrs. C. A. Thomas; a brother,
    Raymond J. Bills of Auburn; also
    15 grandchildren and several
    nieces and nephews. Services will
    be held at 3 p. m. Monday at the
    Langham Funeral Home, 91 East
    Genesee Street, with Rev. Alfred
    F. Herman, pastor of the Central
    Church of Christ Disciples, officiating.
    Burial will be In Soule
    Cemetery. Friends may call at
    the "funeral home Sunday from
    S to 5 and 7 to 1 p. m.

    50 Years Ago

    A pretty wedding took place
    yesterday afternoon at the home
    of Mr. and Mrs William E Bills
    when their daughter Isabelle was
    united In marriage to Roy C.
    Bench by the Rev. William H.
    Hubbard. Miss Florence Bills was
    bridesmaid and Walter Bench,
    brother of the bridegroom, was
    best man.

    A very pretty but quiet wedding

    took place at the home of Mr. and
    Mrs. William E. Bills yesterday when
    their daughter, Isabelle, was united
    in marriage to Roy C. Bench by Rev.
    William H. Hubbard. The bride was
    beautifully attired in a gown of
    white China silk while the bridesmaid,
    Miss Florence Bills, was attired
    In a gqprn of blue China silk.
    The best man was the groom's brother.
    Walter Bench. A bountiful wedding
    supper followed the ceremony.
    The happy couple have the best
    wishes of a host of friends. They
    received many, beautiful presents.

    Mrs. Susan Bills, 88, of 56
    Grant Avenue, widow of William
    E. Bills, died Friday evening at a
    nursing home in this city. Mrs.
    Bills was born in Hamilton. Can.,
    but had lived In Auburn for the
    past 85 years. She was affiliated
    with the First Presbyterian
    Church and was a life long member
    of the W. C. T. U.
    Mrs. Bills is survived by two
    sons, Archie E., and Raymond J.
    Bills of Auburn; two daughters.
    Mrs. Roy Bench and Mrs. C. A.
    Thomas of this city, 12 grandchildren,
    18 great grandchildren
    and several nieces and nephews.
    Funeral services will be held at
    2 o'clock Monday afternoon at the
    Langham Funeral Home, 91 Eaut
    Genesee Street. Rev. A. Paul
    Wright, pastor of First Presbyterian
    Church, will officiate.
    Burial will be in Soule Cemetery.
    Friends may call at the funeral
    home from 7 to 9 this evening
    and from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 Sunday
    afternoon and evening.

    William S. Bills, an old resident of this
    city, died last week after a lingering illness
    of about six weeks, in the 70th year
    of his age.
    Mr. Bills came to this city in 1850 and
    for a number of years conducted a marble
    and granite works. He was promi-
    nent in Democratic politics and at different
    times was elected to the offices of city
    assessor, alderman aud supervisor, taking
    great interest in city atfairs.
    He leaves t»eside a wife, three daughters,
    Mrs. E. J. Congdon, Mrs. Mary E.
    Austin of this city and Mrs L. A. Whiting
    of New York city, and four sons,
    Chester S., Wm.E , Chas. P and Milo E.
    Bills of this city.
