    Notes:

    Eugene Bishop, 77, of Longview, TX, entered into eternal rest on March 3, 2017 in Longview, TX, surrounded by his wife and four children. He was born August 12, 1939 to Bernard and M. Virginia Bishop in Lockport, NY. 
    Gene married the love of his life, Nancy (Chapman) Bishop, on June 22, 1957 after meeting at the Palace Theater in Lockport where they both worked. 
    Gene retired from Harrison Radiator in Lockport in August 1989 and moved to Longview, TX, after retiring. Gene was an avid fisherman and enjoyed fishing on various lakes in East Texas during retirement. He and Nancy also spent time traveling and camping. He was a member of the Wright's Corner's Volunteer Fireman Exempts in NY. 
    He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Nancy Bishop, of Longview, TX; sister, Sheila Bishop Marzo of Syracuse, NY; son and daughter-in-law, Jeff and Lorraine Bishop of Tonawanda, NY; daughter and son-in-law, Terri and Norm Eaton of Lockport, NY; son and daughter-in-law, Mike and Amelia Bishop of Longview, TX; and daughter and son-in-law, Beth and Gary DeLuca of Tonawanda, NY. Gene is also survived by eight grandchildren, Dr. Molly Eaton, Stacey Philbrick, Scott Eaton, Jeremy Bishop, Matthew Weir, Patrick Weir, Jacob Bishop and Mary Wood. Gene is also survived by four great-grandchildren, Bailee, Shelby, Laynie and Mylie; along with several nieces and nephews; and his fur baby, Lucy. 
    He was preceeded in death by his parents, Bernard and Virginia Bishop; brother, Benjamin Bishop; sister, Barbara Bishop Porter; and grandson, Brian Bishop. 
    A memorial service will be held in Wrights Corners, NY at a later date. 
    The family would like to extend a special thanks to Cindy and Ashley with At Home Health along with the medical staff on the second floor of Longview Regional Medical Center for your loving care and support for Gene and his family.

    The marriage of Mary Virginia,
    daughter of Mr. and Mrs, Benjamin
    L, Beach of North Ridge to Bernard
    E. Bishop, son of Mr. and Mrs. John
    Bishop of Price street took place at
    9 o'clock Saturday morning at St.
    Mary's church, the Rev, John H.
    Christman officiating.
    Ferns and Fall flowers formed the
    background for the bridal party and
    the bride was charming in her gown
    of white satin and lace, her long
    veil fastened with a wreath of
    orange blossoms. Her bouquet was
    of white roses and gypsophila.
    Miss Genevive Seefeldt of North
    Ridge attended the bride as honor
    maid, wearing tel blue satin with
    gold accessories and bridesmaids
    were Miss Veronica Bishop and
    Misss Geraldlne Drean, the former
    in gold satin, the latter in dusty
    rose moire each wearing accessories
    of gold and their bouquets were yellow
    roses and mixed flowers. Harold
    Mathies was the groom's best man
    and ushers were Thomas Grundy,
    Lawrence Bishop and Gerald Drean.
    Mrs. Beach, the bride's mother wore
    a costume of maroon crepe combined
    with lace and Mrs. Bishop was
    gowned in dark green brocaded
    crepe and satin. Each wore corsages
    of roses and button chrysanthemums
    . „
    A wedding breakfast for 96 was
    later served at Hy-Gate Manor, An
    arrangement of ferns dotted with
    marigolds formed the center of the
    bridal table and candles and favors
    corresponded.
    On their return from a short wedding
    trip Mr. and Mrs. Bishop will
    reside In this city. Guests were
    present from Niagara Falls, North
    Ridge and Buffalo.

    4th, 1947, at the Lockport City Hospital.
    He la survived by four daughters

    Draan, of North Hollywood. Calif.,
    Mrs. Dorothy Martin, Mrs. Veronica
    Brandy, Ralph, William and Law
    rence Bishop of Lockport, and Bernard
    Bishop, of North Hollywood,
    Cal., two nephews, Otto and Frank
    Bishop, of Austria, also seventeen
    grandchildren. The funeral win be
    held at 8:30 o'clock on Monday
    morning at. Taylor & Reynolds
    Funeral Home and at 9:00 o'clock
    at St. Mary's Church. Interment
    will be to St. Mary's Cemetery.

    Ill for a week with pneumonia,
    Mrs. Barbara Bishop. 71. wife of
    John Bishop, died Tuesday night at
    her home. 57 Price St.
    Mrs. Bishop was born in the
    Town of Pendleton, daughter of Mr.
    and Mrs. Sebastian Bicker, but had
    lived In Lockport since her marriage.
    She was a member of the
    Rosary Society of St. Mary's
    these Church.
    Besides her husband, ahe leaves
    four daughters, Mrs. Albert Drean
    of North Hollywood, Cal., Mrs. Cal-
    vin Berner, Mrs. Ward Martin and
    Mrs. Thomas Grundy; and four
    sons, Ralph, William, Lawrence and
    Bernard Bishop all of Lockport;
    and 17 grandchildren.
    Services will be held Friday at
    8:30 at the Taylor and Reynolds
    Funeral Home, 70 Niagara St., and
    at 9 o'clock at St. Mary's Church.
    Burial will be in St. Mary's Ceme-
    tery.

    Wedding bells rang July 24, 1894, fifty years ago, at the
    Good Shepherd Church in Pendleton for the marriage of Mr. 1
    and Mrs. John Bishop. 57 Price St., at a High Mass at 10
    o'clock.
    The couple celebrated their 50th
    anniversary by attending Mass at
    Good Shepherd church, Pendle-
    ton Sunday and then with a dinner
    at Maple Brook Manor with their
    8 children and 16 grandchildren.
    Mrs. Bishop, now 68, was born
    on the Transit Road, town of
    Pendleton, the daughter of the late
    Mary Anna Rerun and Sebastian
    Bicker,
    Mr. Bishop, now 77 was born in
    insbruck, Tyrol, Austria and came
    to this country at the age of 25.
    He is the son of Catherine Patrick
    and James Bishop. He was em-
    ployed at Old Pulp Mills, Holly
    Shops, Gardner Foundry and Si-
    monds Saw and Steel Plant until
    he retired about 10 years ago.
    Following the finner, a reception
    was held at the home of the
    couples son, Bernard Bishop of
    Price Street.
    Mr. and Mrs. Bishop have 4
    daughters, Mrs. Calvin Berner,
    Mrs. Albert Drean, Mrs. Theodore
    Sherlock and Mrs. Thomas Grundy
    and 4 sons, Ralph, William, Law-
    rence and Bernard.
