    Henry B. Bischer, 90. lifelong
    Town of Lockport farmer, died
    Friday (April 5, 1957) at his home
    on East High St. Rd.
    He w a s born in the Town of Clarence,
    the son of John W. and
    Anna Gursslin Bischer. He was
    the husband of the late Caroline
    Bistoff Bischer.
    Survivors include four daught
    e r s . Miss Florence W. Bischer,
    Mrs. Alvin Blosser, Clarence Center,
    Mrs. Harley Blosser and Mrs.
    William E. Miller, both of Lockport;
    two sons, Walter H. of Bar
    ker and Erwin A. of Lockport; 10
    grandchildren and 15 great-grand
    children.
    Funeral services will be held at
    the Bream and Lange Funeral
    Home, 186 East Ave. at 2:30 Tuesday
    afternoon. Burial will be in
    Cold Springs Cemetery. The Rev
    Ivan L. Lange will officiate.

    BISCHER - Caroline Bischer
    (Bistoff) beloved wife of Henry H.
    Bischer of East High St., passed
    away at the City Hospital Saturday
    afternoon April 24, 1948 at the age
    of 79. She leaves four daughters
    and two sons, Florence W., at home,
    Mrs. Alvln Blosser of Clarence Center,
    Mrs. Harley Blosser of Royalton,
    Mrs. William E. Miller of
    Lockport, Erwin A., of East High
    St., Walter H., of Barker, ten
    grandchildren and nine great
    en. Also four brothers
    and two sisters, Edward and John
    Blstoff of Lockport, Theodore Blstoff
    of Akron, N. Y., William Blstoff
    of Buffalo, Mrs. Mary Murtaugh
    of Ransomville, Mrs. Anna
    Raduns of Lockport and several
    nieces and nephews. Friends may
    call at Prudden Funeral Home 242
    Genesee Street, where funeral
    services will be held Tuesday afternoon
    April 27 at 4 P.M.. DST. Burial
    in Cold Springs Cemetery.

    early Saturday evening at Lockport
    City Hospital.
    Mrs. Bischer was born Oct. 3,

    1868, the daughter of Gustave and
    Johanna Schuster Bistoff, in the
    Riddle Road, Town of Royalton.
    Long a member of the English

    Lutheran Church. Mrs. Bischer
    had been active in the Luther Band
    and the Women's Association.
    Besides her husband, she leaves
    four daughters, Miss Florence E.
    Bischer at home, Mrs. Alvin Blos-
    ser of Clarence Center, Mrs. Har-
    ey Blosser of Royalton and Mrs.
    William E. Miller of Lockport; two
    sons, Erwin A. Bischer of East
    High Street and Walter H. Bischer
    of Barker, ten grandchildren and
    nine great-grandchildren.
    There are four brothers, Edward
    and John Bistoff of Lockport, Theo-
    dore Bistoff of Akron and William
    Bistoff of Buffalo, and two sisters,
    Mrs. Mary Murtaugh of Ransom-
    ville and Mrs. Anna Raduns of
    Lockport.
    Services will be held Tuesday
    afternoon at 4 o'clock at the Prud-
    den Funeral Home, 242 Genesee St.
    The Rev. Ivan L. Lange, pastor
    of the First English Lutheran
    Church, will officiate. Burial will
    be in Cold Springs Cemetery.

    Although Mr. and Mrs. Henry H.
    Bischer have lived in a number of
    houses in Niagara county during
    their married life, they celebrated
    their 50th wedding anniversary
    Tuesday in the homestead on East
    High street, where they first started
    housekeeping.
    Many friends called during the
    evening to congratulate the couple
    and received attractive flowers, gifts
    and cards. Members of the family
    were guests at dinner and presented
    a purse of money to the couple.
    Mrs. Bischer, who is 71 was Miss
    Caroline Bistoff, daughter of Mr.
    and Mrs. Gustav Bistoff and was
    born on the Riddle road, south of
    Lockport. Mr. Bischer, who is 73,
    was born on the Mill road near
    Gasport.
    They have four daughters, Miss
    Florence Bischer of Chestnut Ridge,
    Mrs. Alvin Blosser of Clarence Cen-
    ter, Mrs. Harley Blosser of Hollen-
    beck road and Mrs. William Miller
    of South Transit street; two sons,
    Walter Bischer of Barker and Erwin
    Bischer of Lockprt; also ten grand-
    children and one great-grandchild.
    Mr. Bisch er has been a farmer
    until his recent retirement.

    Mrs. Johanna Bistoff. aged 70 years,
    who came to Lockport from Ulm.
    Wurtemberg, Germany, when only
    eight years of age. died at her late
    residence about 11 o'clock yesterday
    morning after a year's illness. De-

    ceased was the widow of Gustav Bis-
    toff. a Civil War veteran who passed
    away 21 years ago. She.was a member
    of the English Lutheran church,
    and also of tha Woman's Relief Corps
    of Sprout Post. No. 76, G. A. R. Nine
    children survive.

    The funeral of the late Mrs.

    Johanna Bistoff. who died Sunday
    morning at her late residence. No.
    82 Nlcholls street, was held this afternoon
    with services at her late home
    at 2:30 o'clock, conducted by the Rev.
    Francis T. Hoover. Mrs. R. J. Carson
    sang several appropriate selec
    tlons.
    The bearers were four grandsons.
    Fred and Roy Bistoff, Walter and
    Lester Bischer. and two nephews,
    Joseph Schuster and John Siedhoff.
    all of this city. The interment was
    at Cold Springs cemetery.
