Miss Rissmiller is a
nurse - instructor for the
Board of World Missions,
L u t h e r a n Church in
America, in the Lutheran
Church of Liberia, Africa at
Curran Lutheran Hospital,
Zorzor, Liberia. She was
graduated from Hershey
High School, Hershey Junior
College, Wagner College at
Staten Island, and is listed
in "Who's Who in American
Colleges and Universities"
as president of Zeta Delta
C h a p t e r , Delta Zeta
Sorority, Aletha, Senior
Women's Honorary Society.
Before leaving for her
overseas assignment, Miss
° Rismiller was employed by
the Niagara County Health
Department, Lockport. She
served an internship as a
nurse with the college
vocations of the Central
Penn Synod at Lutheran
homes in the area.
Mr. Bittler was graduated
from Lockport Senior High
School and the State
University at Buffalo. He
is employed as a professor
at Bryant and Stratton
Business Institute, Buffalo,
and departmental chairman
of the Data Processing
Department. He is a
member of the Data
Management Processing
Assn., Buffalo.
The couple is planning a
fall wedding.

on Saturday of Paul James
Butler Jr.
S t . Peter's Lutheran
Church at Middletown, Pa.,
was the setting for the 2
p.m. ceremony.
United were the daughter
of Mr. and Mrs. John H.
Rissmiller, R.D.L. Box 333,
Middletown, Pa., and the
son o Mr. and Mrs. Paul
J. Bittler Sr., 100 Spalding
St., Lockport.
Altar arrangements of
gladioli and fuji mums
adorned the church when
the Rev. H. Richard Barley
o f f i c i a t e d , assisted by
S e m i n a r i a n Richard
Rissmiller, brother of the
bride.
Given in marriage by her
father, the bride was
gowned in peau de soie.
Created in an empire style
with Alencon lace forming
the bodice, the gown had
long sleeves and rounded
neckline. Lace enhanced the
train and the headpiece
securing illusion veiling.
Miss Ann Rissmiller,
sister of the bride, sened
as maid of honor, attired
in a burnt orange creoe
gown, created in an empire
stvle, similar to the brides.
Mrs. Richard Rissmiller
w a s bridesmaid, with
the Miss Ruth Rissmiler as
junior maid to her sister.
Their empire gowns were in
shades of orange, and
created and crepe.
Richard Cressman served
as best man.
Ushering duties w e re
performed by Fred Kohrer,
the groom's brother - inlaw
and David Rissmiller,
brother of the bride.
Organ music was played
by Mrs. Elle Mae Roberts.
Norman Colebo sang. '
A reception was held in
the church social room.
Following a trip to the
mountains of Pennsylvania,
Mr. Bittler and his bride
will make their home at 77
Windsor Road, Amherst.
The bride was graduated
from Hershey High School,
Hershey Junior College and
W a g n e r College. She
recently returned from
serving as a missionary
nurse in Liberia for the
L u t h e r a n Church in
America.
The groom, a graduate of
Lockport Senior High School
and the State University at
Buffalo, is * professor of
data processing at Bryant
and Stratton Business Institute,
Buffalo.
