Lockport NY Union Sun Journal - 2/25/1920

Glenn Bixler died at the home of
his mother on the Hess Road. Tuesday
afternoon, February 24, 1920. He is
survived by his wife, s i x children, Clarence,
Kenneth, Donald, Laura, Nina and
Elmer, all at home, also his mother
and two brothers, Scott and George
Blxler of the Town of Lockport.
Funeral services will be held from
the home Thursday. Frbruarv 26th, at
2 o'clock. Interment In Wrights Corrers
cemetery.

Glenn married DYSINGER, Marion R about 1905 in New York. Marion was born about 1888 in New York; died on 30 Apr 1940 in Lockport, Niagara County, NY. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]

4. BIXLER, Nina was born about 1912 in New York; and died.
5. BIXLER, Laura was born on 2 Aug 1913 in New York; died on 4 Sep 1993 in Lancaster, Erie County, NY.
6. BIXLER, Elmer L was born on 21 Apr 1915 in New York; died on 6 Aug 1989.
7. BIXLER, Raymond E was born on 10 Sep 1920 in New York; died on 28 Dec 2007 in Lockport, Niagara County, NY.

Joshua Bixler aged 77 years, a life
long resident of this road passed
away at his home Saturday, September
6th, he leaves besides his wife,
three sons, George and Glenn of Newfane,
and Scott of Hartland. Mr.
Bixler was a veteran of the Civil War,
burial in Wrights Corners cemetery.

Joshua married BROWN, Alice J about 1868. Alice (daughter of Lucretia) was born about 1847 in New York; died on 25 Oct 1933 in Lockport, Niagara County, NY. [Group Sheet] [Family Chart]

Alice J., widow of the late Joshua
Bixler, entered into rest at her home
on the Hess road, Wednesday, October
25, 1938, at the age of 87 years.
She is survived by two sons, George
and Scott Bixler of Newfane, N. Y.,
also eighteen grandchildren and
twenty-four great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held from
her late home Saturday afternoon
at 2 o'clock. Burial Wright's Corners
cemetery.

Died at the residence of her daughter,
Mrs, Joshua Bixler, on the Hess Road,
at 6 o'clock Thursday morning, April
22d, 1897 aged 74 years.
She leaves to mourn her loss, besides
her daughter, Mrs. Allie Bixler, two sisters,
Mrs. Richards of this city, and
Mrs. Libble Halstead of Grand Rapids,
Mich.
The funeral services will beheld from
the house at 2 o'clock Saturday afternoon.
