    On Saturday, April 20, the marriage

    of Miss Sadie L. Bixler, daughter
    of Mr. and Mrs. Scott Bixler of
    Hartland and Irving I. Cunningham
    of this city was solemnized at the
    home of the groom's parents. Mr and
    Mrs. Jonathan Cunningham of Good-
    ing St., the ceremony taking place at
    5 o'clock, Rev. Walter L. Hazen of-
    ficiating.
    The bride was gowned In white net:

    over meaaallne and her bouquet was
    of white rose buds and sweet peas.
    She was attended by her cousin. Miss
    Ethel Bixler of this city as bridesmuid,
    also wearing white mesealine
    with over-dress of net and hef flow,
    ers were pink rose buds and sweet
    peas. Clifford Cunningham, the
    groom's brother, acted as best man.
    A reception and supper for 20 fol-
    lowed the ceremony, the bridal table
    being decorated with white roses. To
    her maid the bride's gift was a string
    of pearls, while to his best man the
    groom presented a scarf pin.
    Later Mr. and Mrs. Cunningham
    left for a trip to Waterford, Ont. the
    bride wearing a suit of navy blue
    serge with hat and veil to match, and
    after May 15th they will be at home
    at 170 Gooding St.
    Among the out of town guests were
    Mr. and Mrs. Clarence staats and
    daughter Violet of Middleport. Mr.
    and Mrs. Scott Bixler and Louis Bix-
    ler of Hartland.

    NEWFANE-Scott W. Bixler. 84
    a lifelong resident of the Town of
    Newfane, died Sunday (Feb. 12,
    1961) in Niagara Falls Memorial
    Hospital, where he had been a pa-
    tient for a week. He had been in ill
    health for a year and had been a
    resident of Restwell Nursing
    Home, Buffalo Ave., Niagara
    Falls.
    Mr. Bixler was born Aug. 28,
    1876, in Newfane, the son of
    Joshua and Alice Brown Bixler.
    He was a farmer on the Hess Rd.
    for over 60 years. His wife, Emma
    Bixler, died in 1959.
    Survivors include three daugh-
    ters, Mrs. Irving Cunningham,
    Tonawanda; Mrs. Ray Byerly,
    Lockport; and Mrs. Anthony Pag-
    ano of Niagara Falls, two sons,
    Lewis Bixler of Rochester and
    Leon Bixler of Newfane, six
    grandchildren and nine great
    grandchildren.
    Friends may call at their con-
    venience at the Glenn H. Corwin
    Funeral Home, 2670 Main St.,
    Newfane, where the family will be
    present from 7 to 9 this evening
    and tomorrow from 3 to 5 and 7 to
    9.
    Services will be held at 2 Thurs-
    day afternoon with the Rev. Her-
    bert Durr of the Ridgewood Union
    Church officiating. Burial will be
    in Wright's Corners Cemetery.

    NEWFANE - Mrs. Emma A
    Bixler, 77, of Hess Rd., Town of
    Newfane, died in Roswell Park
    Memorial Institute, Buffalo, Fri-
    day (March 13, 1959). She had
    been a patient for six weeks.
    Mrs. Bixleer was born in New-
    fane Dec. 28, 1881, the daughter
    of the late Mr. and Mrs. Hardy
    Jacobs. She was a life-long resi-
    dent of this area.
    She is survived by her husband.

    Scott W. Bixler; three
    daughters, Mrs. Irving Cunningham,
    Town of Tonawanda. Mrs.
    Ray Byerly, Lockport, and Mrs.
    Anthony Pagano, Niagara Falls;
    two sons, Louis Bixler, Rochester,
    and Leon Bixler, Newfane;
    a sister, Mrs. Lovina Tripp, Miami,
    Fla.; two brothers. Prank
    Jacobs, Medina, and Clark Jacobs,
    Gasport; six grandchildren
    and five great-grandchil-
    Services will be held hi the
    Glenn H. Corwin Funeral Home
    Inc., 3870 Main St., Newfane. at
    2:30 Monday afternoon. The Rev
    James Dereham of Ridgewood
    Union Church will officiate. Burial
    will be in Wright's Corners
    Cemetery.

    Bixler was a veteran of the Civil War,
    burial in Wrights Corners cemetery.

    Alice J., widow of the late Joshua
    Bixler, entered into rest at her home
    on the Hess road, Wednesday, October
    25, 1938, at the age of 87 years.
    She is survived by two sons, George
    and Scott Bixler of Newfane, N. Y.,
    also eighteen grandchildren and
    twenty-four great grandchildren.
    Funeral services will be held from
    her late home Saturday afternoon
    at 2 o'clock. Burial Wright's Corners
    cemetery.

    at 6 o'clock Thursday morning, April
    22d, 1897 aged 74 years.
    She leaves to mourn her loss, besides
    her daughter, Mrs. Allie Bixler, two sisters,
    Mrs. Richards of this city, and
    Mrs. Libble Halstead of Grand Rapids,
    Mich.
    The funeral services will beheld from
    the house at 2 o'clock Saturday afternoon.
