  1. 14.  FRITZ, Wilhelm Friedrich was born on 25 Sep 1855 in Town of Wheatfield, Niagara County, NY (son of FRITZ, Christian Friedrich and DEURRENFELD, Henriette Caroline); died on 18 Mar 1905 in New York.

    Notes:

    Fritz, William F., was born September 25, 1855, and has resided all his life in Martinsville. His father, Christian Fritz, was one of the leading men of his town and conducted a large saw mill business in Martinsville and William F. grew up in that business. In 1894 he established a coal business in Martinsville, to which he now gives his attention. He has been twice married; his first wife was Sophia Peters, who died leaving three children: Christian, Matilda and Rosa. For his second wife he married Rose Peters, and they have three children: Mary, Clara and Reno. His father, Christian Fritz, died in 1887. He was horn in Germany and came to America and built a saw mill at Martinsville. He was prominent in politics as well as in business and was three terms supervisor of the town, besides holding other offices. William F. Fritz is a Democrat, a member of the firemen and engineer of the corps. He has been county delegate several terms and also inspector of election. His mother was Henrietta (Dornfield) Fritz and is still living.

    FRITZ - Mrs. Rose Fritz, 91,
    died Monday afternoon (Feb. 2,
    1959) in the home of her daughter,
    Mrs. Hulbert Fels, 540 Falls
    Blvd., North Tonawanda. Born in
    North Tonawanda, she had been
    a lifelong resident. Mrs. Fritz was
    a member of St. Paul's Lutheran
    Church and the Ladies Aid of the
    church. She was the wife of the
    late William F. Fritz and mother
    of the late, Christian and
    Mrs. Rose Graf. Besides her
    daughter, Mrs. Fels, she is survived
    by Miss Irene Fritz, Mrs.
    Clara Gombef t of North Tonawanda
    and Mrs. Mathilda Neubauer
    of Niagara Falls; also survived
    by 17 grandchildren, 31 greatgrandchildren
    and 2 great-greatgrandchildren.
    Friends may call
    at the John O. Roth Funeral
    Home, Morgan and William Sts.,
    Tonawanda, where services will
    be held Thursday at 2 p.m. The
    Rev. F. A. Hinners officiating.'
    Burial in St. Paul's Lutheran
    Cemetery.
