    LOCKPORT. April 10-Services
    for Parker P. Brong, 65. brother of
    former Assemblyman Karl S. Brong,
    will be held tomorrow at 2 o'clock
    at the Kennedy Funeral home, 122
    Walnut street. Burial will be in Cold
    Spring cemetery.
    Mr. Brong who died Saturday at
    Lockport City hospital, following a
    brief illness, was the son of the late
    Daniel E. and Mary E. Brong. The
    father formerly served the State of
    New York as a deputy attorney gen-
    eral. He was a prominent Lockport
    attorney.
    The son was educated in the pub-
    lic schools. He participated in track
    athletics and was an ardent hunter
    fisherman. For 23 years he was em-
    ployed by the Harrison Radiator
    Division,, General Motors corpora-
    tion.
    Surviving, besides his brother, are
    four daughters, Mrs.. David Knox,
    Lockport; Mrs. H.. Oliver Pels, Ben-
    ton Harbor, Mich.; Mrs.. William
    Nicholson, Lockport, and Mrs. Clar-
    ence Blackley, Barkey, and two sons,
    Karl H. Brong, Lockport and Rea
    G. Brong, Barker.

    News was received yesterday of the
    sudden death In Portland, Oregon, of
    Hon. Daniel E. Brong, prominent Niagara
    county lawyer and deputy attorney
    general under Hughes' administration
    at Albany. He leaves a wife pnd
    two sons.
    Mr. Brong was for many years one
    of the most prominent attorneys of Niagara
    County and a leading power in
    the Republican party organization. He
    was one of the best known and able
    campaign orators in the county and
    was always in demand in campaign
    lime. He was once district attorney
    ot Niagara county.
    His home, until he recently removed
    to the west, was on Walnut street,
    ockport, where he had long been In
    practice of the law. He was celebrated
    as a criminal lawyer. He was senior
    member of the former law firm of
    Brong & JeMefy, at Lockport, until the
    death of Elwood D. Jeffery a few
    years ago.

    LOCKPORT, Aug. 29.-Mrs. Mary
    E. Brong, 69 years old. widow of Daniel
    E. Brong, a well known resident of
    this city, where she lived during her
    entire life, died suddenly, yesterday
    morning at her home 156 Elmwood
    avenue, of heart disease.
    The deceased was a member of the
    Universalists church, the D. A. K
    and the Bay View Reading club here.
    She Is survived by two sons, Karl S.
    and Parker P. Brong. both of this city.
    Funeral services will be held Tuesday
    at 2:30 p. m. from the home. Burial
    will be In Cold Springs cemetery.

    LOCKPORT, Aug. 12- (Special)-Christopher
    C. Parker, father of Mrs, Brong.
    wife of ex-District Attorney Daniel E.
    Brong, died Sunday night, at the age of 102
    years. Mr. Parker was one of the c o u n t ys
    oldest residents, and at one time was a
    prominent merchant. He was born at
    Whiting, Vermont, In 1810, and came to
    t h i s county, setting at Olcott, in 1835,
    He clerked In a store there for a few
    months and then started In business for
    himself In 1841 he sold out and came to
    irf«»kport, opening a store In this clty.
    On Walnut street h e built a fine residence,
    then the best In that part of the clty In
    In 1840 he married Miss Mary McKnlght
    of the town of Newfane, and to them were
    born two children. Robert M. Parker of
    Lockport. and the late Sarah Coon of
    Cleveland. In 1884 Mr. Parker married
    Abagail B. MeCollum, The child of this
    marrlagr was Mrs, D. E, Brong. The
    only surviving brother Is John B , Parker
    of Defiance. Ohio, for 47 years Mr Parker
    lived In Niagara county, and he
    played a conspicuous part In Its commercial
    development
