Palmerton of Appleton, was announced
last week, was the guest of
honor at a kitchen shower given at
the home of Mrs. Roy Smith of Wilson
on Friday evening.

HESS ROAD, July 2.-A pretty wedding
was solemnized at noon last Saturday
at the home of the bride; when
Leona Mae Blacklock, daughter of Mrs.
Mabel Blacklock of this place, became
the bride of Willard Palmerton of Appleton.
The Rev. Frances B. Markell,
pastor of the Wesleyan Methodist
church, performed the ceremony. The
bride wore a lovely gown of rose crepe
with blonde slippers. She carried a
bouquet of roses, snapdragons and
gypsophela. The bride and groom were
unattended. A reception was held immediately
following the ceremony. The
rooms were prettily decorated with gar
den flowers.
