    A pretty June wedding was solemnized Tuesday morning
    at St Francis of Assisi church, Monsignor John A. Weismantel
    officiating, when Miss Rita Brenon, daughter of Mr.
    and Mrs. Wilbert A. Brenon of Utica street, was united in
    marriage to Lieut. John E. Ward, son of Mr. and Mrs. John
    M. Ward of Great Valley, New York. The Rev. B. J. Crane
    was also in attendance at the altar.
    The bride, lovely in white satin
    with sweetheart neckline, fitted
    bodice, long pointed sleeves and
    lull skirt with her finger tip veil
    of illusion falling from a wreath
    of apple blossoms, was given in
    marriage by her father. She carried
    a cascade bouquet of white
    rosebuds, gladioli and baby's
    breath with ribbon streamers.
    Miss Cora Brenan, sister of the
    bride, was maid of honor and Miss
    Kathleen Lyon of Naples, N. Y.,
    bridesmaid, were gowned alike in
    pmk orchid satin, modeled after
    the bride's and carried colonial
    bouquets with blue-satin streamer.
    They wore matching arched
    shoulder-length veils.
    The groom was attended by her
    brother, Joseph Ward and John
    Rogers, cousin of the bride, acted
    as usher.
    The bride's mother wore a flowered
    silk jersey with white accessories
    and a corsage of roses.
    The groom's mother chose a green
    and white print with accessories.
    Following the ceremony a
    breakfast was held for the bridal
    party at the home of the bride.
    A reception was held in the
    afternoon, refreshments being served
    from a long table flanked by
    two tall white tapers and centered
    with a three-tiered wedding
    cake. Guests included relatives
    and friends from Detroit, Great
    Valley, Buffalo, Alden, Rochester,
    Kenmore, Fredonla and Elllcottville.
    The bride's going-away outfit
    was a yellow gaberdine suit
    wifh brown and white accessories.
