    William J. Brenseke, 72,. of
    219 77th St., died Friday (Jan.
    1, 1960) in Memorial Hospital
    after a week's illness.
    Mr. Brenseke was born in
    this city an dresided here
    throughout his life. At his re-
    tirement he was a general
    foreman at the Electro Miner-
    als Division of Carborundum
    Co. He was employed at Car-
    borundum for 32 years and
    was a member of its 25 Year
    Club.
    Mr. Brenseke was a former
    member of the old 42nd Sep-
    arate Company.
    Surviving are his wife, Mrs.
    Helen C. Brenseke; a son, Wil-
    liam J. Brenseke Jr; two
    daughters, Mrs. Theodore J.
    Bland and Mrs. Harold Lynch,
    all of this city; two sisters,
    Mrs. suzanne Kerr and Mrs.
    Grace Small, both of Char-
    lotte, N.C.; and seven grand-
    children.
    The Rev. Cuthbert M. Mac
    Lean will officiate at services
    at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the Otto
    Redanz Funeral Home. Inter-
    ment will be in Memorial Park
    Cemetery.

    Mrs. Helen C. Brenseke, 77,
    of 219 77th St., died unexpectedly
    Sunday (March 12,
    1972) in Memorial Medical
    Center after being stricken at
    home.
    Born in this city, she lived
    here al her life.
    Survivors include a son,
    William J. Brenseke of this
    city; two daughters, Mrs.
    Theodore (Catherine) Bland of
    this city, and Mrs. Harold
    (Anne) Lynch of Akron, N.Y.;
    a brother, Maurice Abbott of
    Youngstown; two sisters, Mrs.
    George Rowan of Fredricton
    N.B. Canada and Mrs. Harry
    McNulty of St. Catherines,'
    Ont.; seven grandchildren and
    three great-grandchildren.
    Funeral services will be held
    zt the Lane Funeral Home, at
    11 a.m. with the Rev.
    Frederick Mastennan of St.
    Steven's Episcopal Church
    officiating. Burial will be in
    Memorial Park Cemetery.
    Friends may call from 7 to 9
    p.m. today from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 °
    p.m. Tuesday.

    366 Spuce avenue, an employe of the
    International Paper company for the
    past 18 years, died In Mount St. Mary's
    hospital last evening following a short
    Illness; He was admitted to the Institution
    on February 26 The funeral
    will be held from Cobler's Funeral
    Home. 635 Main street. at a time to be
    decided later.
    Mr. Brenseke is survived by one son,
    William J. of this city, and two daugh-
    ters, Mrs. Susan Struber of Chicago,,
    and Mrs. Grace Small,, of Arvida, Que.
    One brother, Adam, of Seattle, Wash.,
    and one sister, Mrs. Louise Anderson,
    of Buffalo, also survive.

    Susan Brenseke was born July 27,
    1858, at the Oldfield homestead.
    daughter of Angus and Susan Heed.
    On December 19th, 1SS3. she was
    united in marriage to John Brenseke
    and since then her home has been in
    Niagara Falls, N.Y.
    She died November 25,, 1904 and
    on the 27th, after a funeral service
    at the Church of Christ, of which she
    was a faithful member, her remains
    were laid to rest in Lundy's Lane
    cemetery.
    The husband survives her decease;
    also hree children, Susanna, Will and
    Grace. Aside from these the nearest
    relatives are two nephews,, Alexander
    MacLeod of Drummondsville, Don-
    ald MacLeod of Buffalo, and a niece,
    Mrs. J. L. C. Cronyn of Buffalo.
    Mrs. Brenseke was a true christian.
    Faith kept her patient through the
    intense suffering of the last months
    of her life. She rests from her la-
    bors,, but her works of faitly patience
    and love remain after she has gone,
    and are a comfort to those that
    mourn.

    Michael Abbott. 53 years old, of
    Griffin street, La Salle, a stationery
    engineer In the employ of the Acheson
    Graphite company for the past
    three-years, died of heart disease this
    morning. Mr. Abbott arose at his
    usual time arriving at the plant
    about 6:40 o'clock. He went, to the
    locker room.and while changing his
    clothes suddenly dropped to tho floor
    at 6:60 o'clock. Employees telephoned
    Dr. W. I,. Wilson who went
    to the plant Immediately and pro-
    nounced death due to heart failure.
    Besides his wife, Mr. Abbott is sur-
    vived by three sons.
