    Dunkirk. July 27.—Earl C. Bull of
    Fredonia, 27 years old and married was
    killed Thursday evening at the Red
    Wing Grape Juice company plant
    he had been employed only three
    The body was taken charge of by ??
    ner Blood who said that the death
    undoubtedly accidental.
    At about 7:30 Thursday evening ???
    In company with two other of the ??
    Wing employes took a loud of ???
    from the first to the third floor of fruit
    building where the cooking department,
    Is located; during the fruit season the
    plant being operated both night and
    day.
    The two other men left Bull standing
    outside the elevator and carried their
    load of fruit to the other end of the
    building, being away from him only a
    few minutes.
    When they returned to the elevator
    they found that during their absence
    the elevator had started and that their
    companion had been caught between
    the elevator floor and the ceiling of the
    third story.
    The crushed body was hastily re
    moved and Drs. H. E. Wheelock and
    W, E. Duke were summoned who on
    arrival pronounced the man dead and
    said that In all probability he had died
    instantly, as his chest was crushed and
    his neck broken. Coroner Blood was
    then summoned and look charge of the
    body.
    How The accident occurred will never
    be known as no one was in the part of
    the building where the elevator is lo-
    cated. It is thought that the young
    man may have touched some part of
    the machinery as he stond waiting for
    his companions, which released the ear
    and he was caught as he attempted to
    stop its motion. A thoro -examination
    of the elevator was made by officials
    who pronounced it in good working or
    der,
    Mr. Bull leaves the Wife and a
    daughter only about three months old.
    He was a farmer living In the vicinity.
    up to a short time ago and had been
    with the Red Wing plum only three
    days when killed.

    Bull died, June 16, 1917. Wife of
    Pulaski T. Bull and daughter of Mr.
    and Mrs. Lewis Keith of Stockton.
    She was born on Jan. 23, 1830. She
    died aged 87 years and 5 months.
    Burial in the family lot at Stockton.
    Funeral the 19th at the home near
    Fredonia. Conducted by Rev. Mr.
    Smallenberger of Cherry Creek.
    She leaves her husband, who was
    90 years old last April, also three
    boys and three girls. Mr. Lewis P.
    Bull, William A. Bull. Fredonia; John
    W. Bull and Mrs. Jennie Patton, Miss
    Ellen A. Bull and Martha L. Clouse
    at home.
    We often sit and think of her-
    When we are all alone.
    For memory is the only. Friend that
    Grief can call its own.
    More and more each day we miss her
    And friends may think the'wound is
    healed,
    But they little know the sorrow
    - That lies within our.hearts conceal
    ed.

    try. He was a good man, sincerely
    respected by all. Is survived by his
    wife, two son's, S. B. and Abram
    Blodgett, and four daughters: Mrs;
    Addie Bull, Mrs. Lily Weaver, Mrs.
    Minnie Pierce and Mrs. Pearl PowelL
    Funeral at the house this Wednesday
