    daughter of Mrs. Wilhelmlna
    Gottschalk of Hill street, to John
    Henry Bloom, son of Mr. and Mrs.
    John Boots of Vine street, was solemnized
    Saturday, Dec. 18, at 5
    o'clock in the Trinity Lutheran parsonage,
    the Rev. Herman Meier officiating.
    Attendants were Mr. and Mrs.
    John King. Mr. and Mrs. Bloom
    left for a short wedding trip and
    upon their return will make their
    home in the Genesee apartments.

    George Bloom died November 14,
    1914, at Lyons, N, Y. He is survived
    by bis wife, Hannah, four sons, Herbert
    and Gordon of Lockport, George
    and Robert of Pennsylvania, two
    daughters, Mrs. Percy Ryan of
    Lockport. and Mrs. Walter Hunt of
    England, three brothers, Hubert of
    Knowiesville, James of England and
    William of Kucksvilie. The funeral
    win be held from the home of his
    daughter, Mrs. Percy Ryan of 47
    Dayton street, Sunday, November 18,
    1934, at 1:30 o'clock. Interment will
    be in Glenwood cemetery.

    The body of George Bloom, 53,

    Lockport boatman, who died suddenly
    Wednesday night of an acute
    heart attack on a canal boat at Lyons,
    was brought here today for
    funeral services to be held Sunday
    afternoon at the home of his daughter,
    Mrs. Percy Ryan, 47 Dayton
    street. Burial will be in Qlenwood
    cemetery.
    Mr. Bloom, who for the peat five
    years had been employed as captain
    by the Seaboard-Great Lakes
    corporation, visited here Sunday
    night when the fleet, of which he
    was in charge, passed through the
    locks on its last trip to New York
    for this

    A native of England, Mr. Bloom
    has been employed on the canal for

    the past ten years. He spent the
    winters to Lockport.
    Surviving are his widow, Mrs.
    Hannah Bloom, of this city; four
    sons, Hubert and Gordon Bloom of
    Lockport, George Bloom of Gran-
    ville Summit, Pa., and Robert Bloom

    of Woodhall: two daughters. Mrs.
    Ryan of Lockport and Mrs. Walter
    Hunt of England; three brothers,
    James Bloom of England, William
    Bloom of Kuckville and Hubert
    Bloom of Knowlesville.

    Mrs. Hannah Boots, 66, longtime
    resident of this area, died
    Friday evening at her home,
    Saunders Settlement, RD 2 Lockport.
    She was born in England,
    April 21, 1887, but came to Niagara
    County when quite young.
    Mrs. Boots leaves her husband.
    John W Boots, and 11 children
    from two marriages Mrs. May
    Hunt, who lives In England; Mrs.
    Winifred Ryan. Hubert Bloom.
    Gordon Bloom, Mrs. Lydia Mulr,
    Orven Boots, and John Allen Boots,
    Lockport; Robert Bloom, Cameron
    Mills, N.Y.; George Bloom, a
    Pennsylvania resident; Mrs. Edna
    M a d d i n g , Buffalo; and Mrs
    Josephine Maines. a resident of
    Virginia.
    Mrs. Boots had 39 grandchildren
    and nine great grandchildren.
    She was a member of the Past
    Pocahontas Club, the Foresters,
    the Eagles Auxiliary and American
    Legion Auxiliary
    Funeral services have been set
    at 2 p.m. Monday afternoon at
    the Clemens O. Gaul Funeral
    Home. Burial will be in Cold
    Springs Cemetery.

    North Tonawanda NY Evening News - 8/18/1921

    Theodore Gottschalk, 55. former
    resident of North Tonawanda, died
    yesterday, after a lingering illness
    at. his home. 23 Hill street, Lockport.
    He and his family left this city about
    a year ago.
    Deceased is survived by his wife.
    Minnie, a son, Walter and two
    daughters, Elsie and Edna, all of
    Lockport. Otto Gottschalk, world war
    veteran killed in France, was a son
    of the deceased and made his home
    in North Tonawanda at 302 Niagara
    street at the time he left for France.
    His body was received at Lockport
    by his parents about a month ago
    from France. The father then was
    too ill to attend the funeral services
    for his hero son.
    Funeral services for the father will
    be held tomorrow at 2 p. m. at the
    bite residence, followed by burial at
    Cold Springs cemetery, with the Rev.
    Meyers of Lockport officiating.

    church on Saxton street. Interment In

    Mrs. Wilhelmina Gottschalk, 83.
    former resident of Lockport died
    this morning at the home of her
    daughter, Mrs. Harry Whitehead
    of Barker.
    Mrs. Gottschalk was born in
    Germany and came to this country
    at the age of 14. She formerly
    lived at 23 Hill St.
    She was a member of Trinity
    Lutheran Church. Lockport, the
    Ladies Aid Society of the church,
    and was a Gold Star Mother of
    the American Legion Auxiliary.
    Other survivors include a son,
    Walter W. of Barker and a daugh-
    ter, Mrs. John Bloom of Lockport,
    five grandchildren, three great
    grandchildren and nieces and
    nephews.
    The body is at Taylor and Reyn-
    olds Funeral Home.
