A pretty wedding took place on Saturday
at the home of Mr. and Mrs.
Frank Howes, of Knowlesville, when
Miss Alice Victoria Wright, of Hasbro,
England, became the bride of Hubert
Bloom, of Knowlesville. The rooms
were transformed into a bower of
beauty, many potted plants and yellow
blossoms being used to carry out the
color scheme of yellow and white.
Palms and ferus completed a bower in
the front parlor where the ceremony
was performed by Rev. Bell, of the
Methodist church of Knowlesville, in
the presence of 40 guests.
The bride was given in marriage by
Mr. Prank Howes. At exactly 5 o'clock
the bridal party descended the stairs.
The ring service was used.
The bride wore a handsome gown of
white marquisette, trimmed with brilliants,
shadow point lace and satin.
Her tulle veil was caught with orange
blossoms. She carried a shower bouquet
of bride rosjes and ferns. Her attendant,
Miss Dorothy Thaine, wore a
gown of pale blue silk, its trimmings
being of shadow lace and satin, and
carried a bouquet of pale blue and
white asters. Horace Felstead was best
man.
Dinner was served later, covers being
laid for 12 at the bride's table.
Miss Wright was formerly a nurse in
It England and has a large circle of
friends among whom she is very popular.
The presents from here and
abroad show the esteem in which the
bride and grooom are held. They con-
sisted of cut glass, linen, furniture,
silver and money.
The out-of-town guests were from
Medina, Kuckville, Kenyonville and
Ash wood.
The bride and groom will make their
borne north of Knowlesville
